Justin Taphorn, who played basketball at Pekin HS, was offered a preferred walkon spot at Bradley, according to this article in the PJ Star-

But then a preferred walkon offer came from Wisconsin coach Greg Gard, and Taphorn decided to take that offer.
Justin Taphorn averaged 10.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg and 2.1 apg his senior year at Pekin. He shot 37% and 69% on FTs.
He is the son of Pat Taphorn, who played for Wisconsin Green Bay, and the brother of Nate Taphorn, a one-time Bradley recruit when Geno Ford was Bradley's head coach. Nate went to Northwestern where he had a nice career.
