The Bradley women's 2020-21 roster is also now posted-
    https://bradleybraves.com/sports/wom...roster/2020-21

The roster shows 5 new players- 3 freshmen- Tete Danso, Isis Fitch, and Sami Martin, one incoming grad-transfer Uche Ufochukwu, and incoming St. Louis University transfer Chloe Rice.

Bradley head coach Andrea Gorski received one additional 2020 commitment who is not shown on the roster-
Daija Tyson, a 5'5" guard from Detroit, Michigan who committed and signed in the early signing period last November. It is possible she is redshirting or may not have enrolled for some reason-
    https://bradleybraves.com/news/2019/...ng-period.aspx

Uche Ufochukwu is a 5th year grad-transfer from Winthrop University. She has one year of eligibility left.

St. Louis University transfer Chloe Rice committed to Bradley in early April, but unless she is granted a waiver, she may redshirt the 2020-21 season and have 2 years of eligibility left starting in the 2021-22 season.

Coach Gorski also has 4 recruits already verbally committed for the class of 2021-

We have some nice depth for Big men. Ja'Shon and Eli are All-valley players and potential NBA drafts. Ari showed signs of breaking out last year and looking f/w to Reink Mast!
I don't see any incoming freshmen on the roster. Who are our freshmen? (if we are even going to be able to play this year)

Edit: Ok - I see the freshmen listed in the 1st post! I think we have a pretty strong incoming class! Question is - do we have too much depth that a couple of them will not see much PT?

I guarantee Coach Wardle would say there is never too much depth, and that playing time is earned not given.

According to Dave Reynolds’s Twitter, Sean East’s waiver was approved. He will be able to play next year!!! This is big!

OHHH, that is big news. I think this kid is going to be a serious difference maker for us this year!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

I can confirm that Sean East was granted a waiver and will be eligible to play starting this coming season (2020-21).
I spoke with our assistant coaches on a couple of occasions, and they felt very positive all along that Sean would be granted the waiver. This is terrific news and makes Bradley an even stronger team. IMO, the only thing that can stop Bradley from a 3rd straight MVC Championship is Covid-19.

Recall that this Indiana basketball journalist said Sean East would be sitting out this coming season, but that was not known at that point.

                    This is great news indeed!
Sean should give us depth at the PG position. Antonio is going to develop, but I don't see him logging 30 min. per game and coming close to filling the shoes of #5 (the 5th all-time leading Braves scorer).

He's going to do more than try to fill the shoes of DB. Saw on Bradley's twitter account that Sean will be wearing the #5 as well. I would have liked to have seen the #5 not be worn for a few years. Other newcomer numbers are #20 for Jayson Kent, #34 for Conner Linke and #35 for Darius Hannah. Don't remember seeing this before.

Thanks, bigjimmy. The new guys' numbers had not been confirmed yet, though we expected Jayson Kent to be #20. He said that would be his choice when he did a live Zoom conference with his signing of his NLI, and it was his number throughout high school.
And Sean East wore #5 in high school and at the Combine Prep Academy he attended for a year. He wore #10 in the one season he spent at UMass, but obviously, that number is already taken at Bradley (Elijah Childs), so my guess was he'd go back to #5-
                        https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...ent#post493017

And the other 2 freshmen- Connor Linke wore #34 and Darius Hannah wore #35 in their high school careers, so it follows that since those were available, they would pick them at Bradley.

I meant that Antonio may not fill DB's shoes - at least in next couple years. He has his own skillset though.
I don't know much about these Freshmen, but sounds promising!

If ANYONE is able to fill DB's shoes in the next 10 years, that would be fantastic!
But D Brown Jr. is one of the all-time BU greats now - easily in Top 5 for me since I've been following BU hoops for 25+ years!

I wouldn't say DB had one of the best senior seasons as a Brave, but if you look at full career, he was a leader on the court since his freshman year and was one of most consistent Braves I can remember.

And his last performance in St. Louis? Perhaps one of best post-seasons by any Brave.

                              BU Roster-

The roster page has not been updated yet to include the new incoming players, though we know what numbers these four will wear-
                              #5 Sean East
                              #20 Jayson Kent
                              #34 Connor Linke
                              #35 Darius Hannah

But what number will Thomas Hall, the newest member of the 2020-21 team, wear?
In high school at Metamora, Thomas was #21, but there is already a #21, Kevin McAdoo.
I am guessing he will choose #25. There isn't anyone else wearing #25 this season since Nate Kennell left, and that was Hall's number last year when he played for the Air Force Prep team.

7 former Bradley players have had their numbers retired (5 different numbers). These 5 numbers will never be worn again at Bradley:
