It is also Stephan Gabriel's 20th birthday today. We wish him well.
He enrolled at Hutchinson Community College and should play there next fall.

Happy Birthday, Danya!!!!! Senior season is going to be a great one for you! Looking forward to seeing you dominate the MVC!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Danya really grew as that X-factor we needed in games in the 2nd half of the season especially.
DB and Childs were spectacular in Arch Madness, but without Danya's presence and key plays in the tourney, not sure we would have won it all!

      Happy Birthday Danya!

Just wanted to add that Kingsby is a bit of a talker, but maybe a team needs a little moxie from time to time.
I don't think he did it in excess really. Love the tenacity and fearlessness he brings!

And the dude has some serious hops. He might have the best vert on the team!

Some of us thought we might see more offensive production from Danya, and in the home loss to UNI he showed he is capable of offense by scoring 28 points. In that game, Elijah Childs was out, Nate Kennell had one of his worst games- 4 points- 2/10 and 0-4 from three, and Ja'Shon Henry was in early foul trouble, played only 16 minutes, and has just 6 points. But Danya stepped up when it was needed, and was a very valuable part of the team all year. He was our best defensive player, averaged 7.2 ppg, shot 36% from three, and 72% on FTs..
There is no way the 2019-20 team would have finished where they did or won the MVC Tournament without Danya. I think he will have a great senior season.

              Absolutely agree DC.
I hope we see glimpses of what he showed us vs UNI and a couple other stellar games. I remember seeing him dunk @ Loyola, and man, did he get some liftoff!!

Kingsby didn't appear to have great chemistry or cohesiveness while on the floor with Brown. I expect that to change in his senior season with a new cast of guards and think he'll live up to the hype he had coming out of high school and juco.
