No veteran deserves it more than Tommy’s bro. His Vietnam story is written in volumes of scar tissue and adorned by Purple Hearts.
    Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

I never got a response from the the GPHF so I sent an e-mail off to Brad Mitchell in hopes I'll get a response. Any advice or help anyone can get me to get my brother recognized at center court would be appreciated. He's a huge BU fan and I know it would mean the world to him.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

The e-mail to Brad bounced back as undeliverable.

Yeah, he doesn't work for Bradley any more, and I just found that out a few days ago. I don't know who is in charge of game management now for Bradley.
Maybe try Jason Venisky. He might know more.

Jason got right back to me and said he forwarded my e-mail to the marketing team.

                Thanks Coach.

and in the dead horse category- why is it that questions from the fans are so hard for the BU Athletic staff to deal with?
Every email gets kicked back and every phone call has a recorded message saying "he doesn't work here any more".
Nobody lasts more than a year or so. The minute fans finally get to know who to ask for, then that guy is gone and
nobody knows who is replacing him? This is a department that the head was being paid over $300,000 last time
the salaries were made public. And in the midst of the attendance tanking from ~10K --> down to 3K over just a decade or so
due to poor hiring and crappy management, they can't find someone to answer a phone call from loyal lifetime season ticket holders
and people who have donated tens of thousands of dollars over the years? Attendance will drop even further with this kind of
business skills up there. Those who predicted back in 2011 that attendance would plummet to record lows and sub-5K were
scoffed at but look for avg of 2000 in a few years with this stuff going on. They've already lost most of the casual fans -
but now they're losing the long time loyal fans as well.

Cross & Glasser eliminated all the traditional Braves Club and fan events (preseason and post season banquets, Itoo Hall event, Red-White game, bus trips, pre-game parties, etc.) hoping to draw in new younger fans they were seeking and knowing it would alienate the older fans. How did that work out?

I was contacted by someone with GPHF about getting my brother out there to center court. Thanks to anyone and everyone that helped make this happen!

Sounds like February 12th will be the day, but I'm waiting on confirmation.

The nature of college athletics is that when you hire good people, they are going to leave for better opportunities. It is rare in this day and age you get a Jen Jones that sticks around for awhile and grows within the organization.

Chris Reynolds is easily the best athletic director in modern BU history. Volleyball, women's basketball, and the running sports have all had unprecedented success under coaches he hired. Men's basketball was brought out of the absolute gutter by his hire. The department was running at a really great pace pre-covid.

Over the summer, literally every single person in the external, compliance, and development departments went on to a better opportunity. Greathan Bramwell to Arkansas, Beau Woodcock to Indianapolis, Karen Carty to the MEAC, Bre Cross to children, Brian Lavin to family things in Texas, Grant Escue to Florida State, Drew Blumenshine to Nashville, Tim Reusche to Tulane, and I am sure I am missing a few. Trying to fill 1 or 2 positions in this climate is hard, but filling 8+ in a department the size of BU is TOUGH. A lot of those positions are getting filled but there are still those that haven't been. The external positions that have been filled came onboard in the fall and were immediately trying to play catch up. Throughout the summer there was an absolute skeleton staff trying to just keep things afloat. Yes things slipped through the cracks. But they also planned and executed a lot of great events and games.
