Now Southern Illinois is rumored to be joining the event-

Looks like seven teams, as of now, will be participating in this event:
During the 10 day trip, Duquesne will be staying in the bubble with a still undetermined number of teams. At this point, Louisville, UNC-Greensboro, Winthrop and Arkansas Little-Rock are signed up but that list will grow in the coming days and weeks. Jeff Goodman is reporting that Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois are likely to join this event.
Apparently, five games will be played over a ten-day period (as per the article).

My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

Wake Forest is having an early-season tournament of their own, but I had to chuckle when I saw the field.
Here are the 3 other participating team they invited with last year's RPIs:
            Delaware State (RPI 349)
            Alabama State (RPI 328 )
            Longwood (RPI 303)
            https://twitter.com/LongwoodStats/st...70396006928391

I have never seen a more pathetic field for a 4-team event, especially by a team from a Power 5 conference.
Wake Forest's RPI last year was 149, but only because they had a good SOS playing in the ACC. Their non-conference RPI was in the 180's. They finished the season 13-18, and 6-14 in the ACC, good for last place. So I guess they must not believe they will be any good this season, so they opted for 3 of the easiest games they could get, all on their home court. They should get 3 easy wins.

South Dakota State has pulled out of the Kansas State event, The Little Apple Classic. SDSU will join the Crossover Classic instead in Sioux Falls, SD, joining a much better field- WVU, Memphis, Texas A&M, Ohio St, Wichita St, Creighton & Dayton in the 8-team tournament. Plus, they will get 3 games instead of 2. They replace Utah, which pulled out because of Covid concerns.

Drake is scheduled to play Kansas State on Nov. 25 and was scheduled to play South Dakota State on Nov. 27. Drake's schedule still shows them playing So. Dakota State on Nov. 27, but will change now that SDSU has pulled out. According to the Kansas State site, They have been replaced by the University of South Dakota Coyotes. Drake's second opponent on Nov. 27 will now be South Dakota-

Illinois State pulled out of the Cancun Challenge, which was moved to Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida. Then they were slated to be in the Golden Window Classic (Nebraska multi-team event), but pulled out of that last week. And now they are confirmed to be in a new multi-team event being hosted by Ohio State at the Value City Arena in Columbus, OH, starting November 25. The event is not oficially filled yet, and doesn't have a name, but Dan Muller says the Redbirds will play two games there, starting with Ohio State in the opening game on Nov. 25. But Muller also said things could still change.

The Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic in Sioux Falls, SD (the event that UNI is in) has already undergone several changes with teams pulling out, and now one more. Wichita State has withdrawn due to a couple positive Covid tests on players that were detected after the team arrived in Sioux Falls today..
