Yeah, the only one who would recognize such an arbitrary designation would be Bill Self-ish.
Last I checked, a team has to earn the right to be National Champion. Kansas didn't earn the National title.
And the #1 team in NET, the NCAA's own evaluation tool, is actually Gonzaga, not Kansas-

Here is something to ponder. The FBI gave the NCAA information on what and how Bill Self and Kansas cheated by paying players. How does the NCAA punish them. By making them national champs! Who says the NCAA does not let crime pay

Probably Self's way of being able to say he won two national titles. Kansas is the best PRO college team. The NCAA doesn't have the kahunas to punish these teams. Covid-19 is doing what the NCAA didn't do and that is make sure Kansas doesn't win it all this year.
