Most of the universities in the St. Louis area have extended spring break by a week and have gone to all online classes

Why couldn't they do a modified version of the NCAA tournament? Like, rock paper scissors best of 3 tournament? You can even do it via web cams. It would have at least made entertaining TV and give the teams something fun to do and take our minds off the hysteria going on.

      I'm just bummed.

Maybe this is the first legit application for eSports. Let DBrown represent Bradley on a 2K console.

No, please no. Sometimes life isn't fair, and this is one of those times. But the college record books would be full of asterisks if players (other than Sam Singh) were granted another year. DB would move higher on the all-time scoring list, as would Nate on the 3-point list. But is that fair? And what about players like Ari and Ville who look to step into starring roles next year? They would effectively be losing a year.

Like everyone, I'm really disappointed. But unless the tournament is somehow rescheduled later in spring or summer, which is doubtful, it just has to be this way.

Just heartbreaking for our players but especially the seniors. They built this program up from 5 wins to the championship level and did it the right way. Of course had all of this virus stuff happened just a week earlier, or if the MVC wasn't one of the first tournaments on the schedule, we would have been robbed of the incredible memories in St Louis. It was a privilege to have experienced the last week in BU Basketball -- the kind of experience few other fan bases will ever come close to enjoying. Let's make it a 3-peat next year!

Well I am going to try to add some positive spin to this - "We'll Just Never Know" and in 1986 Bradley had a perfect song "YaJusNeverNo" that seems even more appropriate today. From my standpoint - Bradley was heading to the Sweet 16 PERIOD this March 2020 and likely further. Heck if Bradley did not have to play the eventual 1986 NCAA Champions Louisville Cardinals in the second round - Bradley in '86 would have made the Sweet 16 and likely gone on further.

So we'll just never know - it's sort of like "Forever Young".... I am thankful that I can proudly wear my 2 different 2020 MVC Championship shirts (2020 and Back-to-Back). And when asked - I'll answer heck ya - at least to the Sweet 16 and likely further. 2 incredible teams (Men & Women).

GO BRAVES and GO LADY BRAVES - Think 3-Peat

              Here's "YaJusNeverNo"

Released in 1986, "Yajusneverno" celebrates the success of the Bradley Braves' 32-3 college basketball season. Composed by Tom Dermody and sung by Doug Chamb...

There was a last-ditch effort by the NCAA to salvage an NCAA Tournament. They were proposing selecting the "top 16" teams and hold an abbreviated tournament over a single weekend with games Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to trim the 16 teams down to 2. Then a Championship game would be played Monday.

There are probably a few teams that would have liked this, but it would have screwed midmajor teams, especially teams like Bradley who had already won an automatic bid.

The MVC has taken their precautions a step further. They have now cancelled all intercollegiate sports through the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year.
                  All spring sports are cancelled.
