  • Matt Roth Says He Was Miquoted

In today's PJS, Dave Reynolds talks to Matt Roth and his coach Kevin Brown.
Matt is upset that the blog writer from Louisville misquoted him.
Matt Roth says Louisville Courier-Journal reporter Jody Demling took comments out of context and misquoted him in saying he had eliminated Bradley from among his college choices.

"Roth declined to comment for this article because, he said through Brown, he feels burned by a Louisville Courier-Journal blog published Tuesday and doesn't want to say anything else publicly until he makes a decision.
Writer Jody Demling quoted Roth as saying that his choice was between IU and SLU. Roth's visit to BU, though, is pretty strong evidence that the Braves are still in the mix.
"Matt was misquoted," Brown said. "What he said was totally taken out of context and he doesn't want to take any more chances (talking to reporters) right now. He's really upset."

Thanks DR for getting to the accurate story!

Can I say told ya so

This shows how tough a time he is having making this decision.....

Obviously I do not like IU and feel that would be a bad choice.....SLU would intrigue me, but BU would be like Field of Dreams "Is this heaven?"

Can never have too many class acts around a program....MR and family are that.

If the blogger in Louisville did misquote Matt, then I agree that he is within his rights to just refuse to talk to those guys.

I have a feeling that the writer thought Matt was going to rule out Bradley and figured that if he just went ahead and quoted him as doing so, it would inevitably happen and he would be the first to break the story. Thus garnering him a little more fame. If I had the media attention Matt did, I would probably publically state how this 'blogger' is a horrible unprofessional misquoting ass.

              But thats because I'm mean

Maybe I am out of the loop here, but why was a Louisville writer talking to Roth in the first place?

The Louisville area has numerous Indiana fans, and he follows Indiana, Kentucky, and Louisville.
