After playing a weak nonconference schedule last season, the Missouri basketball team isn't going to have it so easy in coach Mike Anderson's second term.
There are some tougher games this year. They will play Arkansas and Purdue at home, at California and at Mississippi State, and against Illinois in St. Louis. They also have the CBE Classic, where they will get a couple easy wins in the preliminary rounds, but face tougher teams in the semis and finals.
But the schedule is still balanced out by a number of purchased home games against weak teams that guarantee a few more wins. They have 6 easy home games against Southern (28
, Western Illinois (327), McNeese State (235), NC A&T (271), Coppin State (246), and UMKC (257) that will hurt their RPI. But overall, it's a much better schedule than they had last year.
