When Valpo played Bradley in Peoria on Jan 29, they were 8-33 (24.2%) from three.
    Tonight they were 18-28.

Bradley’s stats were pretty good but you’re probably not going to beat anyone who hits 18 threes in one game. Unbelievable! I’d be willing to bet they won’t ever do that again. Let’s shake this one off and pound the Birds come Wednesday night!

Valpo couldn't hit 3's like that in shoot-around with no defense on them. BU stayed in the game the whole time regardless of how crazy good they shot from 3's, so that's something.

This day shows just how hard to pull off a road win in the MVC.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Credit to Valpo for making 18 3's but it just seemed like on defense we were a step slow to react to their shooters. We run into problems when we don't talk defensively and you just don't react quick enough to the situation. Hopefully Coach will address this situation and get them ready for the Redbirds. Hate that we missed a chance to tie Loyola for 2nd but as long as we win on Wednesday we can control that situation. Some games you're the bull and then there are games where you get the horns. It's just 1 game. Move on, go to Normal and GET ER DONE!

The good was that I thought we played pretty good the whole good - all but a span of about 3 minutes we couldn't hit anything.
I'm sure that their ability to nail the 3's every time down from NBA range was a confidence drainer for us.

If we play like that most nights, we get the W. It was just destined to be their night with all the bombs falling in.

The bad was that a win could have put us in Prime position for seeding and get us to the best record at this point in the season since that awesome 1995-96 Championship season.

Let's close out the season with 2 wins!

Just looking at the official box score of last nights game and it showed we only had 3 turnovers for the whole game! We had 14 assist, 80% from the line and also 41.7% from 3! We probably win most games with those numbers. Just hit them on a ridiculous shooting night. We’ve got 2 more to go. Let’s win out.
