  • Indiana State gets a 2008 committment from Chicago

Carl Richard, a 6'5" wing player from Oak Lawn-Richards high school, has committed to the Sycamores. Drake, ISU, UIC, Loyola, and UW-M were all interested.

Also, his father plays softball with a good friend of mine.

Cool. Didn't see that. Just talked to my buddy last night who said that he played softball with a guy who's son was going to Indy St to play ball. Feel free to pull my post or move it.

Hey, the tribstar article adds quite a bit, and I love it when our posters find and contribute this kind of stuff.
The kid got a 25 on his ACT-- nice work!
And he's a 6-5 scorer, maybe a David Moss clone.....

If you know much about David Moss, you know he didn't get a 25, or anything close to it, on his ACT...

Though I am assuming you mean basketball-wise

Nothing personal about this kid, but it is refreshing to NOT see Bradley's name recruiting against the schools listed (Drake, ISU, UIC, Loyola, and UW-M) and I give Coach Les a lot of credit for this! Oh, yes, I'm back like it or not!

                  Carl Richard

Saw Carl play 2 or 3 times last year. He's a good player. Big and strong. Even with his height, he will be a good rebounder in the Valley.
