Has Missouri State started to figure it out? Coming off a 35 point drubbing of Drake the Bears are trying to put the hammer down at ISU Blue as they lead 52-44 with 11:40 left. Drake is leading at home against Evansville 58-52 with 8:40 left. In a nod to "Did you know" both the Purple Aces men's and woman's teams haven't won a game in the Mo Valley this season. I wondering when was the last time that, if ever, happened. Also in last night OT thriller in Chicago UNI's AJ Green broke his nose. He'll have to wear a protective mask the rest of the season. We'll see what kind pf issues he has with it if any.

Again Evansville, still without DeAndre Williams, played better than they did earlier in the MVC season and lead at Drake virtually the entire first half. But then foul trouble contributed to Drake making a comeback and holding on for an 85-80 win over Evansville. Two of Evansville's starters fouled out (their top 2 scorers), and 3 other players ended with 4 fouls. The personal foul calls were 25-16 in favor of Drake, and Drake shot 42 free throws (32-42) in the game. Evansville was 13-27 from three.

Missouri State became the first MVC team to win at Indiana State with a 71-58 win. Indiana State, which has been the top 3-point shooting team in the MVC nearly all season, shot only 5-20 from three.
