  • Final score: Drake 73 Bradley 60

Bradley's next game will be Wednesday, Feb. 5, 8:00 pm at Drake.
The game is televised on the MVC-TV Network, and will be available on FoxSports Midwest and NBCSports Chicago.
There has been nothing to suggest that Elijah Childs is ready to return to playing, so expect him to miss his 9th straight game, and his 12th out of the last 13 games.

Bradley is now 15-8 overall, and 6-4 in the MVC. Drake is also 15-8 overall, and is now 5-5 in the MVC.

Drake's Tremell Murphy has not played since their Dec. 7 game. Initially he was said to have a quadriceps injury, but then later it was revealed to be a knee injury. He underwent surgery on January 10, and will not play again this season. Their leading scorer and rebounder is 7-foot sophomore center Liam Robbins, who averages 13.2 ppg, and 6.5 rpg. Drake is a good passing team and leads the MVC in team assists. Point guard Roman Penn leads the MVC in assists by a wide margin with 6.0 per game (Darrell Brown is 2nd with 4.7 apg), and 7.2 per game in MVC play (DB is 2nd at 4.3 apg).

Can you imagine what our season would be like if everyone was healthy for the whole season? How many years would we have been more than happy being 15-8 right now with our full roster?

Win this one and we’re still in good shape to finish top 3.

Any word on how Childs is progressing and when he might return?

Last word we had was last week when he had his hard cast removed. There was no specific return date given, but he needed a bit more time to finish healing and get back to playing. I'm guessing somewhere after the middle of February. I'd be happy if it was sooner.

Darn - was hoping I'd be able to watch the game on TV. I only get ESPN channels, including ESPN+

I looked at ESPN+ for tonight and it has the game at 8:00 PM.

Edit: Sorry that was Wednesday night.

For any of you guys that don’t have those channels the Bullpen is a great place to watch all away games. Fun atmosphere.

The game is being broadcast on NBC Sports Chicago and Fox Sports Midwest. Hope we have worked on our passing and moving the ball. It sure would be nice if we can get a fair shake from the refs as well. Win this game and it's looking good for us to finish no worse than the top 4.

If you're in the NBCSC/FSNMW footprint you'll need to watch those channels; if you're outside this region you can see it on ESPN+.

If Childs comes back for Feb 15 game at SIU that could be huge for finishing top 3.

We need to be looking at this as a must win. Go play your best game of the year. Nate is due. Keep the Championship within arms reach. Be Patient with ELI we need him 100% for postseason play. Were all we got, were all we need. I for one am confident. Dominate the boards, go get the ball. We have played our best ball in Feb and March under Wardle. I expect the same this year. Go BU. Effort and attitude.

If anyone lives in Indiana or Kansas, the MVC TV Network also includes FoxSports Indiana and FoxSports Kansas City.
Thanks for noting that anyone outside the "footprint" of those networks can still watch on the ESPN+ streaming format.

                        Go BU!

We cannot allow Liam Robinson to brutalize us inside like he did in the first matchup. He had 21 points in only 26 minutes because of foul trouble the last game, and a good number of them were wide open rolls to the basket. If we can keep him contained, we'll be in good shape.

I'd like to see Boya start and run some plays to get him the ball early and score. Then the defense will have to pay attention to him and that will open up the outside. If we stay out of foul trouble, sometime midway thru the first half put the twin towers in see how their defense reacts.
We out rebounded them 39-29 the first game, and if we control the boards and play smart, we'll come home with a W.

                            GO BRADLEY

I am all for Boya starting, but I don't think you can run plays for him at this point in his development. He is best as a rim runner, and rebounder. I would use him like they did against ISU and InStU, where the guard would penetrate, if the double comes then drop it off to him for the dunk.
