I thought this was a great team win, with everybody contributing. Koch had a great game, posting a double double.

But I've got a admit, I moan with frustration at Koch's soft hands. I don't know how many times last night he appeared to have the ball in his hands, only to have it ripped away by a Valpo player. I wish Koch had hands like Ja'Shon.

I feel like I groaned all night about Koch and then I look up and he's got a double double lol

Koch definitely creates a love/hate relationship with the fans and Classof77 couldn't have said it better about the soft hands.

Still got to love the guy, as he's probably the nicest guy on the team, and you can't deny his effort! No question as to whether he cares or not, and I'm glad we've got him.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

My goodness - my feelings/thoughts exactly! May have been the most ho-hum double-double I've ever seen! I thought Koch has had way better games (without posting a double-double) than this one.

GOTTA cut down on the turnovers. That was the most frustrating thing from last night.
Ville and Ja'Shon are gonna be BIG parts to the Braves teams the next couple years after DB and NK move on.
I can see Ville setting the all-time Braves 3-point makes record, and I believe Ja'Shon is NBA material with a bit more development and PT.

Rienk was ill and in bed, not an injury or anything else.

Speaking of Ville. He is going to be a huge part of our program. Watching him during warmups he hit 14 out of 15 from beyond the 3 point line! Does anyone know anything about his ankle injury that took him out of the game for awhile? Trainers we’re working on him for awhile and he definitely was in a lot of pain. Came back in but didn’t seem to affect him to much.

I had a good look at what he was telling the trainer on the bench after he came out. It was not an ankle injury.
He was pointed to the back of his left calf, and the trainer was massaging the gastrocnemius (large posterior calf muscle).
He seemed to recover quickly and fully, so it must have been a simple muscle cramp. I think he'll be OK.

I really like Ville's game. He has a quick start to his dribble and is able to drive to the basket well. And his outside shot has been terrific since his 2-22 start. In the last 12 games, Ville is 20-38 (53%) from three and 40-67 (60%) overall. And his defense is improving. I think he will be a solid starter for the next 3 years, if he stays healthy.

Thanks Da Coach for clarifying. I also agree with you in that the future is bright for him. He plays with a lot of confidence for a freshmen!

The only part of his game that isn’t very impressive is his speed/quickness. And that should get better over the next few years. Accurate shooter, quick release, solid handles, confident driver, and comfortable finishing with either hand. Hasn’t shown much of a midrange pull up game or any floaters, but he’s more than just a shooter. He’s not great on d, but he’s not bad either. Add some quickness and strength and he could be really good there. I was stoked watching his videos after he committed and got concerned when he got off to his slow start. He’s been so good in conference play and I am looking forward to see how good he’s gonna be the next few years.
                    Gotta stop feeding the trolls.
