Too bad the Bradley classes do not start until Wednesday of next week for the students. With the game Saturday against UNI on ESPN2, I think we would have gotten a big number of students at the game.
We gotta keep the winning going and more students will start coming!

I totally agree with you Da Coach - exactly what I shared on last night's chat room - too bad this game against Northern Iowa could not be played later on during the season - and too bad that both Northern Iowa games will after Saturday be over for the regular season.

BRADLEY STUDENTS and FANS - pack Carver Arena this Saturday. We have a really good team and when Childs is back he will be the
      icing on this cake.

      GO BRAVES !!!

Made a plan to drive up for the UNI game Saturday with several other Alums. The team deserves every seat filled, every cheering voice and a THUNDERING Arena! Let's keep the home streak alive and take this one!

The radio guys gave the Player of the Game to Nate Kennell, and I can't disagree. Nate had 25 points. But Ja'Shon is the Co-Player of the Game in my opinion. He was a stud!

Koch Bar just missed a double-double with 11 points & 9 rebounds, and he played 32 minutes with only 3 fouls and NO turnovers!

So Bradley is 4-1 in the MVC and has 2 of the toughest road games behind them now.
Ja'Shon has been nothing short of amazing to watch in his development this season. He is truly our 2nd stud (behind the injured Childs).
He is my favorite Brave now, and only a sophomore and the best is yet to come!

Koch Bar IMO should undoubtedly be on the Valley's Most Improved team. The guy has really blossomed this year and his confidence level is soaring!
He does so many little things to help this team. Glad for him to have a special senior season.

I hope we get at least 9K at the game (of actual butts in seats). This will be the most important home game we've had in over a decade!
Let's get 15 straight and keep rollin'!

I absolutely agree. Recall that Ja'Shon was an extremely late addition to the 2018 recruiting class.
He committed to Bradley on June 2, 2018!
The Bradley men's basketball program rounded out its 2018 recruiting class with the addition of Ja'Shon Henry (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), announced on Saturday.

The only other Division I school that showed interest was St. Bonaventure, but I am not sure they ever offered him. He is an example that there are still an occasional high quality recruit available that late in the recruiting cycle when almost all schools have completed their recruiting.
The only other example I can recall of a quality recruit committing that late to Bradley was Taylor Brown. He committed July 12, 2008.
THE QUESTION: What should voters consider when voting for a candidate for county commission? Elections are coming in August to determine county candidates for the two associate commissioner position…

Taylor Brown was also an atypical recruit who had gone to a junior college after only getting low-major offers out of high school, got injured, dropped out and spent the year training at home with his father, a former NBA and European pro player. So he got no attention from D1 coaches until Jim Les saw him play at a juco exposure event that summer of 2018 and offered him because he had an extra open scholarship.

Back to Ja'Shon.... he is now shooting 51.3% overall. Only Ari Boya's 51.6% is higher, but Boya only averages 1 basket per game, usually rebound putbacks or dunks.
Ja'Shon is also now shooting 41.2% from three, which is better than anyone else on the team except Nate Kennell (Nate is at 47.0%). And Ja'Shon's 6.1 rebounds per game in just 23 minutes per game. That translates to 10.5 rebounds per 40 minutes, just behind the MVC's leading rebounder Elijah Childs' 12.1 rebounds per 40 minutes. And he has accomplished these terrific numbers mostly as a bench player (he has now started 8 of 17 games), and without the offense trying to feed him the ball much. I'd love to see the offense try to include more plays to try to set up Ja'Shon inside, since he is extremely efficient at getting the ball in the basket when he does get it inside.

Definitely right Da Coach! Get the ball inside to Ja’Shon and he either scores or he gets fouled. Becoming my favorite Brave behind Elijah. Can’t believe I’m going to be out of town and missing these next 2 home games! Go Braves!
