Was that the season we played in the CIT and lost to ODU in the Finals? (with Theron, CR, and Sammy Man)
Yes, that was the 4th in a string of 4 straight seasons with 20 or 21 wins. The season ended with a close loss at home to Old Dominion in the championship game of the CIT. A week earlier, Bradley's season was extended by Chris Roberts' miracle 75-foot basket to beat Oakland in the 2nd round of the CIT.

Chris Roberts - miss that guy. How many times did we see alley oop dunks to him right after a time-out?

Chris Roberts is still a successful and highly productive player in Europe. This is his 10th pro season, and he continues to put up great numbers. He is playing this season for Novipiu Casale Monferrato, an Italian pro team in the city of Casale Monferrato which is in northern Italy near the foothills of the Italian Apls.
Chris is a starter and averages 13.4 ppg (2nd on his team), and he is shooting 37.2% from the international 3-point line and he is their 3-point specialist. He is also their top defensive player.

          Good info Coach.

AND he was drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters, though I don’t know what that really means!

Good memory, Tommy! Yes, Chris was drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters in 2010 and was invited to a tryout camp, but he chose to sign a pro contract to play overseas.
PHOENIX, Ariz. ? With five appearances on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays of the Day to his credit during his two-year Bradley career, former Braves swingman Chris Roberts (Fort Worth, Texas/Dunbar H.S.) was selected in the fourth-annual Harlem Globetrotters Draft today.

They have a draft each year, and they invite them to a summer camp for tryouts. They reportedly scouted Chris at the State Farm Slam Dunk Championships at the NCAA Final Four in April, 2010 and were probably impressed with his athleticism. The Globetrotters drafted 6 players that year. They add only one or two new players each year. The pay is pretty good, about $70-75,000 per year, but it is a 12-month a year job. Most players can make more money playing in Europe, and that is only a 6-7 month job. But the Globetrotters do offer other perks such as endless world travel and notoriety, and they cover all travel costs, meals, transportation, and other expenses.

That link above cites 2 other former Bradley players have played with the Globetrotters- Bobby Joe Mason played from 1962-1976, and Lawrence Wright played for them 2006-2007.
            However, there were several more-
Jermaine Brown, who played one season at Bradley under Jim Molinari (1999-2000) before transferring to Minnesota State University- Mankato. He played 6 or 7 years for the Globetrotters. Here is an article about Jermaine "Hi Rise" Brown-

Here is a unique photo of Jermaine Brown-

And Tyshon Pickett, who played at Bradley from 2012-14 under Geno Ford. He was invited to the Globetrotters' tryout camp, but never made the Globetrotters. But he did play for the Washington Generals for a year or two!-

In recent years, many of the people drafted are just to get publicity. Below is a link to the names of the people they drafted in past years.
Notice that in 2017, they drafted Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees, Gal Gadot, the female actress who played the role of Wonder Woman, and Tim Tebow, who had retired from the NFL and was playing minor league baseball by then. In 2016 they drafted actor Kevin Hart, Olympic Gold Medal swimmer Misty Franklin, pro soccer player Neymar, PGA golf pro Jordan Spieth, and ESPN/ABC NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager, who was dying of cancer at that time..

Won by 19 with our #1 player out? I’ll take it!

Awesome second half. I think after playing Evansville who has zero effort, we were a bit shell shocked with SIU’s defensive intensity in first half.

Henry is so fun to watch with his vertical and effort. Great game by Brown again and Koch Bar played some awesome defense!

Will Childs be back early or mid Feb?

Man is this team fun to watch! The first half was pretty flat but the 2nd half defense was great! They play with a lot of heart and all these young guys are getting a lot of prime playing time with the absence of Elijah. When he gets back this is really going to be one dangerous team come tournament time!

Not the best of 1st halves as we didn't rotate well on defense and were shooting bricks on offense. Yet we did enough to just be down 3 at the half. The 2nd half was a much different story as we executed much better on offense and our defense didn't give the Salukis much room to breathe. Both JaShon and Koch were forces on both ends and DB did DB things to kick butt in the 2nd half. We outscored SIU 25-10 in the last 14:00 minutes of the half. A nice 12-13 from the FT line. We were 15-29 from the field in the 2nd half. With no Eli we have a small margin for error. We can't have another 1st half effort like this when we play at Missouri State or we'll probably come up short. But with the Bears struggling to find themselves this is a chance to get another road win. GET ER DONE BOYS!

Agreed, great second half! Too bad we can’t play like that in the first half, but if Phil Colin’s In The Air Tonight is met to fire me up, I’d take awhile to warm up too! On another note- what’s with those Molly Maid kids on the floor maintenance during time outs? Nine year old girls with towels under their feet?! Are you kidding me? They can’t even get two mops and frames at each end? What a sad joke! Towels on their feet????!!

Very good crowd considering the weather. Hope the SIU player’s injury is not too serious; he looked like he was in a lot of pain. Outstanding defense, especially during the second half! Ja’Shon has really stepped-up and played well at both ends. Koch Bar’s 5 blocked shots, was that a career high? Congratulations to the coaches on preparing and motivating this seriously understaffed team. Win or lose, the players’ effort is outstanding and greatly appreciated! This team is really fun to watch!

I think the guys might have been lulled to sleep a bit from Evansville's terrible defense to start off. I do think Mullins is the right guy for that program but they don't have the talent yet.

Henry making a case for all conference honors. That T was pathetic and the refs were pretty bad. Thankfully the game wasn't close.

Braves now tied for 8th longest home court winning streak.

In case anyone missed this, here is the play that Jason Henry was called for a technical foul. It was not for hanging on the rim, it was for the millisecond that he looked at the SIU player (who wasn't even the player who guarded Ja'Shon) that was deemed "taunting". I can say without hesitation, that it is one of the two worst technical foul calls I have ever seen.

The other horrible technical foul call I remember (does anyone else remember?) was back in 2010 when Jim Les stomped his foot and yelled at Will Egolf to try to get his attention after he missed a shot. A Missouri Valley ref who was looking the other way and did not see what happened, simply heard the foot stop, mistakenly assumed it was Jim Les reacting to no foul being called on the play, and whistled a technical foul on Jim. Despite Jim pleading his case and informing the ref that he was trying to signal Will Egolf and that the ref was completely mistaken, he refused to reverse his laughable call.
