Looks like Valpo shot (46%) and rebounded the ball well, but the difference is in turnovers (19 to 13) and fouls (20 to 9) which sent Charlotte to the free throw line 27 times compared to just 4 times for Valpo. Valparaiso is now 6-5.
Evansville is getting beat at Jacksonville State 35-20 with about 5 minutes left in the first half-

Bad loss for UE. Jacksonville State was 2-7, their NET was 321, and their only 2 wins were over Chicago State and a tiny NAIA school named Brescia University. Evansvile is now 8-4.
So the MVC goes 0-2 tonight, and the MVC cumulative record is now 66-43 overall, and 56-43 vs. Division I.

One more note on the Valpo loss at Charlotte... Nick Robinson, the junior transfer from St. Joseph's, has started every game and was averaging 9.5 ppg so far this season for Valpo, left the game with an injury. He jumped to try to block a shot 5 minutes into the game, and fell, landing awkwardly. Officials called timeout and Robinson came out of the game. He is reported to have "back tightness". It is not known if he might miss any further games. Valparaiso plays again Wednesday about an hour away from Charlotte, at High Point University.
Valparaiso is already down one starter with senior Ryan Fazekas missing the last 5 weeks with a wrist injury, and still no word when he might return.
