Nice game by everyone. It was especially nice to see Ville break out of his shooting slump.

Eli Childs fell and injured his right hand early in 2nd half. He played with it bothering him, but came out at the final timeout and was examined by the team Dr. They are concerned about a possible fracture. He will get Xrays.

I'm glad to see Ville finally go off and Brown getting back to where he should be. This game makes me excited for the rest of the season, I think we have a pretty high ceiling with this team.

Nice win over a pretty good team. What worries me now is Elijahs injury. We lose him for any extended period of time and I think it could be a real game changer. He adds so much to this team. Scoring ,rebounding, defense and is becoming a real vocal leader. Hope it’s not serious

If we see more basketball like we did today, this could go down as the true rebirth of Bradley Basketball. Not only did we shoot well, we defended better than any game in recent memory. This team is so fun to watch, hopefully the word will get out and fans will start filling up Carver again.

This was the best game of the year so far in terms of sustained effort and offensive execution for nearly 40 min. And they had the heart to keep it on regardless of the score. It was a great Sunday.
              Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

3 point shooting like that will win the game for us every time, and our defense was pretty stout, as usual, as well. I was particularly impressed with the crisp passing and how there wasn't a lot of standing around. The constant motion and quick passes really gave us a lot of good looks at the basket, and we finally got to see the Ville that coach has been talking about all season.

Honestly, I don't think anyone expected the game to turn out like that, and honestly, it's hard to find anything to complain about. Let's hope we see several more games like this during the year. If we shoot 3's like that, we can beat anyone in the nation on a given night.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

That game was a lot of fun to watch. The officials let them play too as I remember there only being 2 total fouls with under 5 minutes to play in the 2nd half. Bradley's passing was so crisp and it led to several open shots. If we play defense like that and continue to find open shots we're going to win a lot of games in valley play.

Great point about the officiating. Basketball is so much more fun to watch when the refs just let them play, and it certainly is good for our team!

Anyone have an update on the injury status of Childs? That would be devastating if we lost him for any considerable amount of time as we head into conference play.

Dave Reynolds just tweeted that he currently doesn't have an update on Eli's status other than the fact that he's seeing a doctor this morning. Here's to hoping it's nothing serious although I'm not encouraged by that.

The fact he is seeing a doctor today should not be seen as a sign of increased concern. Dr. Maxey, the team orthopedic doctor who examined Eli last night, specializes in general orthopedics ("broken bones, hip/pelvis, orthopedic trauma") according to the bio on his web page-

It would be likely and quite appropriate that he would arrange for Eli to see one of the other doctors in his group who specializes in hand injuries. The Great Plains Orthopedic Group has 4 physicians who are hand & wrist specialists. _ _ _ _

I had a good view of when he injured his hand, and Eli immediately reacted in pain. There are a lot of small bones in the hand, so it would not be a surprise if there is a fracture. But there are other injuries that can cause similar pain.
All we can do is hope the injury is not severe. We should hear soon, and no news is probably good news.

Just announced: Elijah Child will be out 3-6 weeks with the hand injury. No specifics about the findings were released, but I think this means he must have a fractured bone in the right hand.
