Gillespie has been on full-paid leave since May 30, 2007 after he was arrested and charged with with stalking.
Here is a report from 5/25/07 on our board.
I find it hard to believe they would wait all summer, almost 3 months of the most intense and important recruiting period, then fire him now!
There has been almost nothing happen in the intervening months to understand why the delay and why the action NOW after the delay.
The only thing I can think of is that they were going to have to fire him, and maybe they were going to allow him to resign, which would save him the
embarrassment of being fired, but wouldn't cost so much to buy out the contract.
