Last season (2018-19) they were 19-13 overall, and 13-3 in the MEAC. They finished 2nd to Norfolk State in the 2018-19 MEAC regular season.

They have won 16 total conference regular-season and tournament championships, including eight consecutive titles in the 1980s. They have one NCAA Tournament win. It was in 2013, as a #16 seed. NC A&T won their First Four game over Liberty 73-72 before losing to #1 seed Louisville 79-48. Louisville went on to win the 2013 NCAA Tournament, which was vacated in 2018 by the NCAA due to multiple recruiting violations.

They lost their top 4 scorers from last year's team, and this year's team has had trouble scoring. They are averaging just 56.4 points per game through their first 9 games. That ranks 348th out of 353 Division I teams.
They have only 1 player who averages double digits, 6'8" senior forward Ronald Jackson, who averages 12.3 ppg (see NC A&T stats link below). He is also their rebound leader at 8.6 rpg. And for unknown reasons, their 2nd leading scorer, Tyler Maye (9.3 ppg average) did not play in their most recent game on Wednesday, Dec 4. It's not known whether he will be available for the game Saturday at Bradley.

They are are a very poor 3-point shooting team. Through 9 games, they are shooting just 23.0% on threes. That ranks 350th out of 353 D1 teams.
And they are a poor free throw shooting team. They shoot 56.9% on FTs, ranking 347th out of 353 teams.

We’ve got a real solid shot this Saturday at home against North Carolina Agricultural. Wish it was regular ol’ North Carolina tho.
    Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

Another monster game by Childs! The guy is a man inside and out. Plays with such confidence and poise. Would love to see a lot more of Childs and Gabriel on the floor at the same time. I think we got a steal in him. Go Braves

I can't explain why Bradley seemed so sluggish in the first half, but they really played well after halftime. Bradley lead by just four, 32-28, at halftime, but then they scored 34 of the first 40 second half points, and lead by as many as 32 before the starters came out.
Elijah Childs had another terrific game (23 points, 9 rebounds), Darrell Brown didn't take many shots, just 3-6 for 10 points, but he played well and had 6 assists and just 1 turnover in 31 minutes. Bar, Kennell, Kingsby, and Henry all played well. It was also nice to see Stephan Gabriel get extended playing time and look very good. Bradley shot 53.6% while holding NC A&T to 25% shooting.

Love the aggressiveness that Gabriel brought to the game the minute he came in, he and Elijah literally took over the game in the second half. Nice bounce back game for the Braves.

Execution on both ends seemed to be lacking in the 1st half. It sure wasn't lacking in the 2nd half. Still say we need to get the ball inside to Eli more than we do. Their just aren't many teams that we face who can guard him. Nice to see Gabriel come in and maximize his minutes. And I think Sean Houpt will be a scholarship player at some point in his career. Hope it'll be at BU. A 2nd half to build on. Way to go guys!

I agree 100%! In his very limited minutes this season Steph Gabriel has demonstrated his athleticism in multiple ways and appears to be finally earning more playing time. Granted he is not in the current top 6 or 7 player rotation, but so far this season he has the highest 3 point shooting percentage of anyone on the team (5 made out of 10 attempts). Hopefully he will continue to improve in practice and earn even more playing time.

That was the most fun I've had watching a half of BU hoops in some time!
Last season's Arch Madness Final was fun, but quite stressful too.
This was just good ol' laid back fun tonight!

Good solid shooting, which is good to see.
