Definitely the team we know showed up tonight with a lot of energy and effort.
Kudos to the BU fans who made the trip, as We could really hear you on tv! Well done guys, you made us proud!

    Oh, and great game Nate!

Nice win. Big Bradley fan turnout. Had to be more than 500 BU fans there and the team ran over after the handshake with Kansas State and were high giving the fans.

      Final stats...Bradley 73 Kansas State 60

Not sure what the pregame preparation was, but they need to repeat it forever. 50% from the field, 50% from 3’s! Oh my!

But seriously folks this was a much needed w. Now the turnovers were way way too many but our shooting more than made up for it. What I liked was how we responded physically. Need to have that kind of effort every game. Do that and we’ll be in every game. Memphis is really good so our effort needs to be as good. Congrats on the W boys!

Bruce Weber was really working the refs all game. The refs had enough late in the second half as Bruce really pushed his complaining a bit too far and he got a technical foul. Then he complained bitterly "what was the technical for"? TO his credit, he does not use profanity like a lot of the big cheese coches do and get away with.

                    Game story from BradleyBraves.com-
Fort Myers, Fla. – Senior Nate Kennell poured in a season-best 22 points – connecting on six 3-pointers – to lead the Bradley men's basketball team to a 73-60 victory over Kansas State in the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off on Wednesday night. The Braves improve to 5-2 on the season with the victory, while the Wildcats fall to 4-2 in 2019-20.

A couple of notes from the game-The BU fans were fantastic and loud tonight.
Great to see Ken Kavanaugh there cheering on the Braves and seeing old friends
Saw Rich Herrin there both nights.
Glen Rice was there scouting tonight.

The group of us that were sitting behind the basket actually got in Cartier diarras head. He kept shooting evil glances at us especially after he missed 2 free throws in a row. I thought the crowd did waaaaay better then k-state even though they had more fans there. Really fun game to be at. Hopefully they can keep this fire and energy all the way to Memphis!

Great crowd... wish I was there. What a difference a couple days makes. Bottle it up and uncork it every game. Henry played like a man. Kingsby played po’d. DB and Childs we’re themselves again, and then there’s (6) threes from NK. That game right threre is why I follow this team with so much intensity. The pain is real, but the payoffs are sweet.

I saw Glen Rice and wondered what he was doing there.

I also had a chance to talk with former SIU head coach (from 1985-1998 ) Rich Herrin. He is 86 years old now and still very sharp. He was in Fort Myers visiting his son who lives there, and he was enjoying the chance to see some basketball. Ironically, Bruce Weber was the coach who succeeded Rich Herrin at SIU. Rich still lives in the Carbondale area, but he said he is considering moving to Florida.

Bruce Weber, however, always has good things to say about Bradley. Lot's of respect for our program, going back to his SIU days.
