SIU drops to 2-2 with a loss to Oakland in their third game of the Sunshine Slam in Kissimmee, Florida.

SIU starting guard Eric McGill only played 12 minutes and was scoreless. He suffered an ankle sprain in their game Saturday against Delaware. Apparently he went out in the first half and wasn't able to return. If he is out for a while it will hurt SIU. They don't have great depth. Ronnie Suggs and Nebraska transfer Karrington Davis both have missed their first 4 games, but both might return this week.
Also note that Oakland outrebounded SIU 44-20, and SIU shot only 23% from three.
