  • Tough start for Geno Ford's in his first game as head coach since leaving Bradley

Geno Ford was elevated to head coach at Stony Brook University last spring when his former Ohio University teammate and Stony Brook head coach Jeff Boals was hired away by Ohio University. So this season is Geno's first as a head coach since being fired by Bradley in March, 2015.
Stony Brook is coming off a successful 24-9 season and a 2nd place finish in the America East Conference last year.
Stony Brook returns 3 starters and most of their team and was picked 3rd in this year's America East preseason poll-

They played their first game Tuesday night and did not get off to a good start in Geno's first season.
Stony Brook lost at home to Yale 74-69

Geno gets another chance today as Stony Brook plays this afternoon at Seton Hall. Good luck Geno!

I'm sorry, Geno may be a great guy but he can’t coach basketball to save his life, and I don’t think he’ll make it past this year at Stoney Brook.
Guy destroyed our program and made a cool mil doing it, all with a little help from the AD and president. Good riddance, I say, and we are finally starting to see the crowds show back up to games.

The smile hasn't left my face since we moved on.
    Not a fan.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Geno is now 0-2 after Stony Brook lost to Seton Hall 74-57.
He is pretty much guaranteed his first win at Stony Brook in their next game.
They play Division III Farmingdale State College tomorrow (Monday, Nov. 11).

I’m guessing Tommy would be tempted to take Farmingdale State College, depending on the spread. Dude knows how to cut to the chase about how he feels.
        Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

I'd bet my paycheck on Farmingdale, and probably by 5 or more points.

haha! Well, I can only assume the entire Farmingdale team was suffering with the flu, but I am glad I didn't make this bet with anyone!
