SIU made it close, but they lost to Delaware 56-54. SIU drops to 2-1 and they play their 3rd game in the Sunshine Slam Sunday at 12 Noon (Central) against Oakland--

Evansville had a 24 point lead over Ball State in the early second half, and still lead by 18 with under 8 minutes left. The lead disappeared quickly late in the game, and Ball State got within 1 point in the final minute. But Evansville held on for a 77-74 win over Ball State.

Valparaiso starter Ryan Fazekas was their leading scorer in their first game, a win over Toledo. But he was injured in Saturday's game at St. Louis when he took a charge and went down. He then left the game with what was described as an injury to his left wrist, and did not return. Fazekas played the first 10 minutes of the game and scored 3 points before the injury occurred. Valpo coach Matt Lottich acknowledged the injury in his post-game remarks, but did not give any details-Originally posted by Da Coach View Post
