What a finish- Bradley beats SIU 61-57- SIU made up a 17 point deficit in the final 6 minutes, and tied the game with 31 seconds left. Then SIU was forced to foul, and BU made 1 of 2 FTs to take 58-57 lead. On SIU's next possession, they were called for traveling and never got a shot off. Then they fouled Chelsea Brackman who made both FTs, and Gabi Haack made another one to make the final score 61-57.

Bradley survives winning 61-57. They led 54-37 with 6:03 left and saw SIU outscore them 20-3 in the next 5 1/2 minutes to tie them with a 3 pointer at 57-57. Chelsea Brackmann split 2 FT's with :24 left and the Braves forced a turnover with :03 left. Brackmann made 2 FT's and once again the Braves forced a turnover with :01 left and Gabi Haack made 1-2 FT's for the final score. Brackmann had 14, Haack had 15 and Lasha Petree played all 40 minutes and was the leading scorer with 19. You don't usually see a team win when they more turnovers than made FG's but the Braves were 19-39 from the field and had 25 turnovers. The FT line is what won this game as the Braves were 20-29 for the game, 9-12 in the 4th Quarter. There next game gives them a chance for one of their biggest in history as they face #21 Missouri State who is losing to ISU Red 67-57 with 1:55 to go in the game.

Bradley fell behind by as much as 20 points, but slowly came back to get within 1 point. But they were forced to foul and then ran out of time and Missouri State wins 69-66. It's the BU women's first home loss all season.-

I hate to admit it - but this is the first time I watched the Lady Braves - and wow what an incredible effort to be down by 20 points in the third quarter and then to make the run that they did against the ranked Missouri State team. I realize that I need to watch more Lady Braves games and this year's team is something special. I also look forward to the 2020 Women's MVC Tournament.....

                  GO LADY BRAVES !!!!

Getting better support every game. They are so much fun to watch.
So sad to see Chelsea play her last home game today along with Ryan and Ambor.
Chelsea will definitely go down as a top 10 player all time for BU.

Bradley is now 21-7, 12-5 in the MVC. They have clinched 3rd place and the #3 seed.
The 21 wins matches the Bradley women's program high set in 2008-09. The 12 conference wins equals the program high set in 1989-90 and 2009-2010.
The Braves play at winless Evansville (3-25, 0-17) Saturday, 1 pm Central. With another win, this team will set new records for overall wins and MVC wins.

Not intending to diminish the accomplishment, but for context, there are 11 members of the first team if you didn't click the link. Initially I was blown away that a third place team could dominate the first team like that. Still impressive!
