The Drake game today brought in kids from all over the state. They had 7000 for the game.
When I was growing up, Waldorf was a Junior College, it switched over to a University in 1994.
On a side note, Dordt College is located in Sioux Center, Iowa not Sioux City.

The Bradley women had their 7 game win streak broken Friday night with a 71-63 loss to Liberty University in the UMKC Holiday Classic.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Bradley erased a 17-point first-half deficit to take a lead halfway through the third quarter, but Liberty used a 9-1 run midway through the fourth to pull away as the Flames snapped a seven-game win streak for the Braves with a 75-63 victory Friday afternoon to open action at the Roo Holiday Classic.

But the Braves bounced back today in their second game of the event. Bradley beat Eastern Washington University 66-46.
Bradley lead Eastern Washington 47-42 after 3 quarters, but then broke open a close game by scoring the first 19 points of the 4th quarter. They puledl away to a 24 point lead and coasted to the win.

Lasha Petree has 20 points in the first half. Lasha had 24 points Friday in the 82-51 win over Evansville, so she might get some votes for this week's Player of the Week.

The Lady Braves are fun to watch. No you're not going to see any slam dunks but this team can shoot and play good team basketball. They have 2 young ladies that unless they get injured are going to end up in the top 5 all time scorers and may both end up as the top 2 scorers in school history. If Lasha was a mens player we would be saying she is a stud which she really is along w/ Gabby. Not to forget Chelsea who has an excellent shot at being the all time leader in rebounds.
These ladies could use more support so come watch them Friday night as they play ISU

You are right. This is the most enjoyable women's team to watch in decades, IMO, and not just because they are on track to set records for winning, and hopefully for postseason success. They have a lot of talent, they are a young team, and they are extremely skilled and well coached. Bradley is now 11-2, and 2-0 in the MVC.

And you are also correct about senior Chelsea Brackmann. It is actually a near-certainty that she will leave Bradley with the all-time rebounding record.
She is currently averaging 9.2 rebounds per game (tops in the MVC) through the first 13 games, with at least 17 games (likely more) left to play. She now has a total of 833 career rebounds, just 11 rebounds shy of the all-time Bradley career record of 844 rebounds set by Leti Lerma (2013-17), who is now in her first season as an assistant coach at Bradley. Chelsea could possibly tie or break the record in the next game which is Friday at home vs. Illinois State (10-3, 2-0).

And just announced- The Player of the Week for Jan. 6 is Sophomore Lasha Petree of Bradley. Lasha had a career high of 36 points Sunday against Indiana State to raise her season average to 18.2 ppg, tied for tops in the MVC. She is averaging 30.0 ppg in the two MVC games played so far.-
The first weekend of MVC women's basketball conference action was filled with a long list of great performances. Bradley's Lasha Petree helped the Braves improve to 2-0 in league play, averaging 30.0 points, while shooting 62.2% from the field in wins over Indiana State and Evansville, en route to her second Player of the Week honor of the season.  Illinois State redshirt freshman Mary Crompton averaged 13.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 40.9% from three in wins over Indiana State and Evansville, taking home Newcomer of the Week Honors.

Bradley women dominate 4th qr., explode past ISU 76-61. ISU led most of the game and looked like the better team but the BU women completely shut down the lady Redbirds during crunch time. Wow!
