Loyola falls at home to University of Indianapolis 65-60.
Poor shooting was Loyola's downfall. Without Marques Townes and Clayton Custer (the last 2 MVC POYs) they appear to be inconsistent on the offensive end. And their leading returning scorer and their most reliable scorer, Cameron Krutwig, only got 8 shot attempts tonight. They shot 36.7% overall (18-49), and 16.7% from three (3-18 ) and they played all their starters about 30 minutes or more and had them on the floor down the stretch and at the end of the game. Loyola also had 17 turnovers, and they were outrebounded by a relatively small U of Indy team 29-26.
Loyola starts their regular season in 1 week, November 5, at home against Jim Les' UC Davis team. I expect the Ramblers to play much better than they did tonight.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.
