Here are the teams for the 3-point contest at tomorrow's Red-White scrimmage event-

It's tough to choose a favorite! From what I have seen so far of Ville, he will be a terrific 3-point shooter. My money is on Ville and Tatum Koenig, who was the BU women's team-leader in three point percentage last season (among players who shot more than 1 attempt).

Does anyone know if food and drink will be available at the concession stands?
Why isn't this info publicly announced for these events? The concession stands were closed and no food or drink was available at the last event, the open scrimmage & alumni-coaches scrimmage event on Oct. 5.
It would be helpful for people to know if they need to eat before they come to the event, or if there will be food available at the event.

The Red-White scrimmage was a fun event. The women scrimmaged for two 8-minute halves. They only have 12 rostered players, and two of them (Chelsea Brackmann & Emily Marsh) were not dressed, I assume due to some kind of injury. So the scrimmage involved the same 5 on 5 for the entire 16 minutes. Two of the assistant coaches dressed in uniforms incase they were needed, but never got into the game. The women on both teams shot very well. Junior Nyjah White was the leading scorer with 12 points to lead her White team to a 34-27 win over the Red.
        Summary-
        https://bradleybraves.com/news/2019/...scrimmage.aspx

The men's scrimmage was originally to be a single 16-minute period. Both teams struggled a bit with their shooting. After the 16 minute period, the game was tied 20-20, so they played a 1-minute overtime. Darrell Brown's free throw was the only point in the overtime period to give the Red team a 21-20 win.
        Here are the stats-

The dunk contest was won easily by freshman Stephan Gabriel, as the other two contestants Danya Kingsby and JaShon Henry both missed dunks.
        Video of Stephan Gabriel-

And the team of Elijah Childs & Lasha Petree won the 3-point contest.

The final portion of the event tonight was an autograph session and free schedule posters were handed out-

Childs very underrated outside shooter. He turned it on toward end of last season, thought he struggled with it a bit early on.
Just so many ways Eli can beat you...good think he's on OUR side!

                Impressions:

The whole even ran ahead of schedule. Due to getting out of work and having to run home for dinner, I didn't make it until 6:40 and just after I got there they were introducing the team. About 20 mins ahead of schedule.

As for the game, I would say it was sloppy. However, in all fairness you had the walk-ons and players that will have to sit out next season playing the entire time so not a ton of chemistry.

I felt like Childs deferred for the 1st half then got involved late. The one 3 Henry shot, was pretty bad looking, but I still think he is going to be a beast in the paint. Gabriel looks promising, but was trying to do too much. Kingsby blew by a couple of players to get to the rim, but as a team they seemed pretty bad on shots at the rim. Koch looked like Koch, seemed to excel against smaller. less athletic players, but when defended by someone bigger disappeared. I am hopeful that we see a lot more depth. Ville played very confident, and I thought at times looked like a Jr or Sr. I thought Thomas looked strong running the offense, but probably won't score much.

Thanks for the info. Excited for the season to start just wish I were in P-town. I would say early season scrimmages almost always sloppy. The players know each other's tendencies and what both sides are trying to do on offense and defense. Plus this early in the season with new comers it is bound to be a sloppy imo. Getting excited about Ville. sounds like he will be able to step right in for us. Kennell 2.0?

Ville will become a Super Star for Bradley. He is a "lights out" shooter, handles the ball well, Can drive the lane, and scores.

Ville did not shoot real well in last night's scrimmage. But if you watched him in the 3-point contest, he was very good.
I have seen him in a couple practices, and he shot extremely well in the practices, and nearly made every 3-point shot he attempted. He was even 1 for 1 on half court shots! I agree that Ville as well as Stephan Gabriel should be the two more impactful freshmen.
