The Golden State Warriors signed former SIU center and free agent Kavion Pippin today to their preseason roster-
Pippin was not drafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, and he was not signed by any NBA team for the NBA Summer League. However, due to a number of injury problem involving their big men, the Warriors felt they needed depth at the forward position for their preseason games, which started this past weekend.
His contract comes with no guarantees, but gives Pippin a change to try to earn a two-way contract with the Warriors that could mean a slot on the NBA team if their injuries persist, or more likely a roster spot on their G-League club.
