It’s going to be tough keeping Elijah off that first team!

Drake surprisingly high after losing McGlynn and Ellingson (and Norton).
    BRADLEY BASKETBALL
    -2 NCAA Title Games
    -3 NCAA Elite Eights
    -4 NCAA Sweet 16s
    -4 NIT Championships

Everyone will have Missouri State #1, but from #2 to #7 could be the most difficult year to pick, since the difference in talent level among those teams is not that great. ISU, SIU, and Valpo will get picked low like they are here, but their talent could surprise people.

Street & Smith is out as well. Because Bradley is picked in the top 2, they get a full page of the magazine. I have been buying these magazines for decades, and honestly can't remember the last time Bradley got a full page.

          1. Missouri State
          2. Bradley
          3. Northern Iowa
          4. Drake

Blue Ribbon is usually the best of the bunch, and you can order the e-book “last week of September“ for $16.95.

Blue Ribbon announced its top 25 already. Michigan State is #1 and Memphis is #21. I think Memphis will probably be higher than that in the polls. E-edition should be out on the 27th.

Michigan State tops the preseason Top 25 poll in the 39thedition of Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook, which will be available the last week of September in tablet form and by mid-October in its two printed versions.

Why does everyone have Mo State #1?
Not like they were outstanding last season and made early exit (by BU) in St. Louis.

It's because Missouri State has the highest rated recruiting class.

PF Gage Prim was the #2 JUCO recruit last year.
PF Lamont West was the #8 immediately eligible transfer this offseason per ESPN, from WV
SF Josh Hall was Nevada's hero in the Sweet 16 (before losing to Loyola)
SF Isiah Mosley was the 2019 Missouri Mr. Basketball

Plus they return Da Silva and Cook.

Whether Ford can get these guys to play together remains to be seen but the MSU picks aren't surprising.

                      Thanks Miko.

Josh Hall's GW shot was one my grandmother probably could have made. But kudos to him for coming up big in the tourney.
Kind of surprising that Mo State has gotten so many quality JUCOs to come, unless just not good enough to garner significant PT in the Power Conferences.

Da Silva and Cook are pretty good - glad we contained Da Silva in the MVC tourney last year.

Not as much love for the Braves in the Three Man Weave Valley Preview - projected in the middle but they give us a ceiling of a league title.

I understand where these rankings are coming from. Every team has a lot of unknowns and are dealing with a bit more turnover than usual (most of the 2019 All-MVC players are gone) right now. Bradley will probably get picked 2nd by the MVC coaches and media, but there will be terrific competition from MSU, UNI, Loyola, Drake, and ILSU for the top half. Even the bottom 4 (UE, INSU, Valpo, SIU) I think will surprise us.

Any idea what happened to Walt Lemon and the Bulls? I don’t seem him on the training camp roster.

The Bulls waived Walt shortly after the June, 2019 NBA Draft. The Bulls drafted a point guard, Coby White from North Carolina with their 1st round pick, and I suspect they wanted him to get more of the point guard work in their summer league. The Bulls however, did resign Walt and he played limited minutes for the Bulls summer league team as a backup to Coby White. He did not play well, and was released again. Below is an article that reviews the Bulls' summer league players, and Walt is mentioned at the bottom. The Bulls signed several other new free agent guards for their preseason training camp roster, including former Loyola guard Milton Doyle, Perrion Callandret, and Justin Simon, so it looks likely they will not have interest in Walt on their roster this season.
Last I heard, he (and his agent) were talking to one or two other NBA teams about invites to training camps, but nothing has materialized. He will probably look to sign another G-League deal, or maybe give up his NBA goal and play in Europe.
