  • Communications with the Athletic Dept.

Communications between the Athletic Dept and this message board and Fans/Supprters seems to have really slowed down. It is almost Sept.1 and we really have nothing firm on preseason events & promotions other than "Bid for Braves" which is really a fund raising thing but doesn't provide much contact with individual players. We have little or nothing on other promotions...What has happened to season ticket holder breakfasts or lunches? What is the status of the ITOO Hall dinner? Red & White scrimmage? Open practices? All of these and others create BU Basketball interest in the community and can have an affect on season ticket sales. Not much transparancy from the BU Athletic Dept.

You must not have been to Bids for the Braves in awhile then. You have more opportunity for "contact with individual players" at that event than pretty much any of the other events you listed. Assuming you're talking about men's basketball - Coach Wardle has made it a point that his team is involved in the event (Also Coach Wardle is a key cog in the event itself - fantastic support.) The athletes from all the sports that are in town volunteer for the event - selling things, helping with games, etc.

As for the spaghetti supper, it is happening. That event will be September 26th. I believe that was in the season ticket renewal packets.

Open practices can't actually happen until practice starts. I am sure they'll do some sort of event for season ticket holders in that regard.
