These numbers are staggering. UConn will play 7 non-conference home games this coming season that are "Buy Games". They will pay between $80 and $90 each for the teams to come play in Storrs, Connecticut for what likely will be 7 easy wins at home for UConn. A total of about $600,000 this season just to buy 7 wins. That might be some kind of record for the number and amount paid for such games.
That amount would bankrupt most mid-major programs, but it goes a long way to ensure that along with their conference schedule, UConn get an at-large bid. Must be nice to have that kind of cash to throw around.
