Former Bradley recruit and incoming Clemson freshman Alex Hemenway was fouled on a made 3-pointer
and completed the 4-point play for a 69-65 Clemson win over Finland
unfortunately the official World University Games website is horrible and they keep reverting to blank pages,

Finland pulls even at 1-1 with a 105-65 clobbering of China
Ville had just 4 pts as everyone played and scored...
They play Ukraine tomorrow at 1pm - the US pulled off a close 58-57 win over Ukraine after blowing a double digit lead in the 4th quarter.
A win tomorrow by Finland will advance them to the medal round and begin play Monday in the knockout round.

US (Clemson) has already completed group play at 3-0 so they will advance
and China went 0-3 so they will not advance
Finland and Ukraine are both currently 1-1 in group play and so whoever wins this game will finish 2nd in the group and advance
while the team that loses would be 1-2 and not advance.
So Finland must win!

Finland loses 72-65
They now play at 10:30am local time Monday vs. Norway (which will be 3:30am Central Time) for 9-16th place..
A win Monday puts them in the 1pm semi's on Tuesday for 9-12th placeComment

Ville played 19 minutes, had 5 pts, 2 reb, 4 asst
They now play vs. Croatia on Thursday to decide 9-10th place
That game is at 1pm local time in Naples, which will be 6am Central Time
Interestingly- the GOLD Medal match is later Thursday between
the US (Clemson) and Ukraine, both of whom are teams from Finland's own group
and both were teams that barely edged Finland.....
Finland might well be one of the best 2 or 3 teams there but unfortunately they got stuck in the toughest groupComment
