  • 30th anniversary of Arch Madness- MVC Tournament in St. Louis, March 5-8, 2020

The MVC Tournament in March, 2020 will be the 30th anniversary of Arch Madness in St. Louis. The MVC Tournament actually dates back to 1977, but the tournaments from 1977 to 1990 were held on campus sites. In 1991 it was moved to a neutral site in St. Louis, where it has remained for the last 29 tournaments.
The MVC is planning to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Arch Madness in St. Louis. They are looking for fans who have been to all 29 previous St. Louis tournaments to interview them and possibly show clips of their interviews in videos that will be shown on social media sites, and as part of the 30th anniversary celebration.
That probably rules out Evansville, Loyola, and Valparaiso fans since they did not join the MVC until after 1991.
But I know several Bradley fans, including myself, who have been to every one of the past 29 tournaments, and even the earlier ones on campus sites.
So here is the information if anyone is interested in participating with the MVC for this-

Just talked with one of the Valley people who are involved with the 30th anniversary celebration and she said they haven’t received any videos from people talking about Arch Madness except from 1 school. . I wonder what school that would be?

Time to update the information for the 2020 MVC Tournament in St. Louis at the Enterprise Center (formerly the Scottrade Center, the Savvis Center, and the Kiel Center), Thursday March 5-Sunday March 8, 2020. It is a little over 2 weeks away!
Here is the main Arch Madness website-

The Bradley team hotel once again is the Embassy Suites Downtown St. Louis. There are rooms available-
        https://embassysuites3.hilton.com/en...AES/index.html

Here are all the teams' hotel assignments-
Several St. Louis downtown hotels are offering special room rates to fans traveling to the 2024 State Farm MVC Men's Basketball Championship.  A complete list of

MVC Tourney Central page with game times-
The official athletics website for Missouri Valley Conference

Tickets are available from Ticketmaster, or from the Bradley ticket office-
        https://www.ticketmaster.com/missour.../artist/854282

Unless you are interested in buying the All-Session tickets, I would not suggest buying individual session tickets yet, since we do not know what seed or what game Bradley will be playing in.
Though Bradley could still finish as high as #1 seed, or as low as #7 or #8 seed, the best odds are that Bradley will end up with either the #2 or #3 seed. The #2 or #3 seeds would put Bradley into Friday night's Session III in either the 6:05 pm or 8:35 pm game (Note that Session III is mislabled on this Tourney Central page)-

As always, there are some ticket discount deals-
        http://mvc-sports.com/sports/2017/5/...512173218.aspx

And there are always a few tickets available from street sellers (also known as scalpers).

And a lot of Bradley fans, as well as fans from every other school go to the MVC Tournament Fan Hangout-
Driving & Directions Maps & Parking FAQ Located in the Ballpark Village neighborhood (just north of Busch Stadium), Bally Sports Live! and Sports &

There is a shuttle that runs between the Fan Hangout and the Enterprise Center.

If anyone has any questions about the tournament, the hotel, restaurants, parking, etc., post them here and I am sure someone who has gone to the tournament in the past can give answers.

I'll be going and I'm curious to know who else will be there. Would be nice to meet some of you, and maybe even get a drink together and talk some BU basketball at Ballpark Village if we have time.

Hi Tommy, I'll be there. As I mentioned in the first post, I have made it to all previous 29 tournaments in St. Louis (since 1991), and this will be my 30th. I'll look forward to seeing you there! Were you there last year when Bradley fans were rewarded with a championship and got to see the team cut down the nets for the first time in St. Louis?
Bradley's last tournament win was when the tournaments were held at MVC members' venues (prior to 1991) and Bradley (with Hersey Hawkins, Donald Powell, Jerry Thomas, Anthony Manuel, Greg Jones, Trevor Trimpe, etc.) won in 1988 at Carver Arena.

Hey Coach, I was there, and it was my first Arch Madness, believe it or not, and probably the greatest sports memory I'll ever have. That tournament was definitely one for the ages! Thanks goes out to Dub for convincing me to go. I'm normally not one to travel for more than one day and spend a bunch of money on sporting events, but that one was so great, I'll probably never miss one again! Let's just say I'm hooked!

Look forward to seeing you there, and hopefully we get a chance to grab a drink and talk some BU. If not, I'm sure we'll get a chance to at least say hello!

I'm so looking forward to going back again! My parents have gone every year. Couldn't make it the 1st year as I lived out of the region but moved back to Illinois the next year and have been coming ever since. We go to every session as we enjoy watching the other Valley teams play. Might not be as big of crowds like when Creighton and Wichita were still in the Mo Valley but it's still every bit as exciting. And I can assure you that every fan base hates Mo Valley refs. As fun as going to the tournament has been over the years absolutely nothing comes close to what happened last season. All 3 games going down to the other teams last possession. Down 18 in the 2nd half to UNI and somehow someway coming all the way back to win it is a moment I'm going to cherish forever. It ranks right up there for me with the Cubs winning the World Series. We get all session tickets in the BU section but my Dad has a hard time climbing stairs so he exchanges his tickets for ones in the rows right where you walk into the seating area and I exchange mine so that he's not sitting by himself and last year we ended up sitting behind the UNI section so to experience the range of emotions throughout the game from both their side as well as my Dad's and my own was amazing. I'm still not sure how I was able to watch that game and be able to post about it in the in game thread but I guess that's the old play by play announcer in me. I just love to describe the action. And I sure hope I get to do it again while BU is winning their 2nd straight Arch Madness!

I don't think anyone had posted that.
If anyone here has all-session tickets bought through Bradley's ticket office, please post the section number.

I’ve bought them but they are not available for pickup yet, so no idea where the seats are at. I don’t think it’s been decided yet.

Thanks Jim. I appreciate it! Probably go down on Friday and get my tickets off the street. Have had good luck with this before. Have gone to the ticket office at the Enterprise Center before and have found that I have paid the same price on the street with better tickets. Whoever does this just make sure you check date of the game that you want and what session also...Go Braves! Should be a great tournament!
