Scout writer Dave Telep has broken the news tonight that Toure Murray (of Murry as it spelled in many articles) has verbally committed to Wichita State over Bradley, SMU, and Fresno State.

Gregg Marshall’s Wichita State Shocker program locked up a 3-star shooting guard Monday night. Toure Murray, a 6-foot-3 guard out of Houston (Tex.) Klein Forest pledged to the Shockers over SMU, Fresno State and Bradley.

As a junior, Murray averaged 11 points a game for his high school team.

“What put them over the top was that they have a great fan base, good academics and I felt the coaching staff showed me love,” Murray said. “I respected them and trusted them.”
"They have a great winning tradition. They go to the tournament almost every year and it’s a great conference.”
