A long read and not for the faint of heart. But talk about dysfunction...

sleazy and kinda sad.....just another example of how an AD can ruin the entire Athletic Department and make life terrible for a lot of fine people, students, atheletes, fans, etc...

but ya know - the last guy who was guilty of that kind of behavior just got rehired and promoted...
and was a big hero at Wichita State and was hired at NMSU by former SIU AD

You weren't kidding about it being a long read. That writer must have been paid by the word.
That story could have been told in a just a few paragraphs, but the writer kept pulling out years-old allegations and describing the former AD's behavior issues in long, boring detail. Suffice to say the athletic department at George Washington was torpedoed by a corrupt, sociopathic, jerk, who fired their well-liked, successful head coach because of a falling-out and his personal dislike for him. And instead of dealing with this AD, the administration tried to cover up and hide their problems, hoping things would get better. But just as anyone would expect, they just kept getting worse. Sociopaths never accept responsibility for their actions, and their actions never correct themselves. Where have we heard that story before?
