This email was sent out to all season ticket holders for renewal - the actual mailed renewal packages will be sent out soon

    Thank You Fans!

The Bradley men's basketball team wants to thank you for all of your support this past season. The success of the program is not possible without you.

Below are some accomplishments from the historic 2018-19 season:
    • NCAA Tournament appearance - the first in 13 years and third time in last 31 years
    • Won third Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in school history and first in 31 years
    • The Braves advanced further than any other school in the state of Illinois this season for just the fifth time in school history
    • Posted back-to-back 20-win seasons - the fifth time in school history that Bradley has had a run of at least two-straight 20-win campaigns
    • Won the 2018 Cancun Challenge - the first regular-season tournament title for the Braves since 1983 and first away from Peoria since 1966
    Renewals Coming Out this Month

Bradley men's basketball season ticket renewal packets will be heading your way later this month. An email will be sent out to all season ticket holders once the packets have been sent out.

Current season ticket holders will have until June 28 to renew their seats or be considered for seat change requests. Seat change requests will be fulfilled in July.

I will be interested to see how many new people buy the season tickets. I would think there would be a big jump up in new season ticket holders

Season Ticket renewal packages are going out...

Bradley Men's Basketball Renewals are Out!

This week, Bradley men's basketball season ticket renewal packets were mailed out. Keep an eye on your mailbox as they should be delivered to your preferred address within the next few days!

Please note the following details below regarding this year's season ticket renewals:
        • The season ticket renewal deadline is June 28 to ensure your same seats are secured or that you have priority access to seat change requests.
        • You will notice a slight change in most season ticket package pricing. While this change effects the overall cost of tickets, we are anticipating an unprecedented 18th home game this season which makes the per game ticket price nearly identical to last year's cost. A more in-depth explanation from Dr. Chris Reynolds can be found in your Ticket Package Information booklet which is included in your renewal packet.
        • The term 'Maintenance', which has been the terminology for the donation aspect of maintaining your seats each year, has been altered to 'Braves Club Contribution' at the suggestion of Bradley University's Development Office. Further instructions will be listed on your individual invoice regarding specific designations or if you believe you've made eligible donations outside of the season ticket campaign.

If you haven't received your renewal packet by this time next week, or have questions regarding your account, call the Bradley Ticket Office at (309) 677-2625 or email BradleyTicketOffice@bradley.edu.
        Want to Renew Online?

Visit your AccountManager and you will be able to renew your Bradley men's basketball season tickets from the comfort of your desktop or mobile device!

I also got my email that directed me to the online Bradley Ticket Manager.
If you also got the email, please note the following which is in small print in the email-
          • The season ticket renewal deadline is June 28 to ensure your same seats are secured or that you have priority access to seat change requests.
          • You will notice a slight change in most season ticket package pricing. Further instructions will be listed on your individual invoice regarding specific designations or if you believe you've made eligible donations outside of the season ticket campaign.
Note that the renewal deadline is only 6 weeks away (June 28).

Also note that the 2nd bullet point in the email is the first mention that prices for 2019-20 season tickets will increase over last season. One justifiable reason is that Bradley "anticipates" an unprecedented 18th home game on the schedule this coming season. Apparently, more information about this will come when we receive our mailed renewal package.

I have tickets in the "Silver" level, and my season ticket price rose about 8% (from $390 per ticket to $420 per ticket). Other level tickets will increase, too, but I don't know how much.
This price increase seems reasonable to me, especially considering we may get an extra home game.
And, this is the first increase in season ticket prices since the infamous huge price hike instituted in April, 2013 by Michael Cross and Joanne Glasser, right after the basketball program took an enormous step backward under their "leadership". That change in 2013 nearly quadrupled prices for some premium seat owners, and more moderately priced seats like the ones I have held for over 40 years increased over 30%.
          https://www.pjstar.com/article/20130...emplate=ampart

Unfortunately, that unreasonable increase in 2013, right when the basketball program tanked under their inept leadership and poor decisions, lead to a lot of great, loyal, long-time fans dropping their season tickets, and most have never returned.

The "maintenance" cost per ticket remained the same, but note that it will be renamed "Braves Club Contribution" and apparently will automatically go to the "Braves Club".
In the past, season ticket buyers' donations could be made toward any part of the university (any sports program, academic or scholarships funds, general funds, etc.) and it could be counted toward their "Maintenance" requirement. This change seems to leave questions whether those other donations can still be counted toward "Maintenance". I suspect they still will, though the description in the Bradley email doesn't clarify that point.

..followed immediately by a delusional series of claims by local media that the attendance actually tanked
back in 2008 or even back in the Molinari era and that Glasser, Cross & Geno had nothing to do with it nor with the
cancellation of the Itoo, the banquets, and all the events the fans loved.

my season tickets did not change at all in price so this obviously affects only certain seating areas...
I have already mailed in my renewals and truly looking forward to another great season...

if the BU staff is watching - please keep interest high this summer with some summer events and maybe an open practice
like we have had each of the past several seasons...

Tornados comments and suggestions regarding summer activities is 100% correct. These Summer events with coaches and the team really generate interest in the coming season and provide a boost to season ticket sales. Preseason breakfasts/lunches for season ticket holders are also a big help and the Itoo Hall dinner is a major "Kick Off" to the coming season. All of these events in the Summer and pre-season are important in boosting interest in BU. However, the open practices should be true practices and not just highly orchestrated showcases of the team. Real practices last more than 1 hour and involve heavy workouts. "Showcase" practices don't really tell us much about our individual players.

My favorite event of all time was “the Race With Versace”. Watching the team come over the crest of the Cedar Street bright was a sight I’ll never forget. Ah the good old days.

Bradley offers a new ticket plan for young Bradley grads....
...basically SEASON TICKETS for about $1 per game - holy cow - can't beat that!!
Ordinarily, comparable season tickets would be $125!

Bradley University's most-recent graduates are eligible to purchase a season ticket for the 2019-20 Bradley men's basketball season for just $19.
