Are we just being super selective, or is there some deterrent at Bradley to get recruits? I have seen some talking heads and coaches state that in the current system that high major schools should just focus on the transfer portal because you basically know what you are getting and don't have to focus as much on development. (I think someone posted an article quoting Hinson on this) I am sure some of that can be said for mid majors as well, but if the high majors are backing off high school recruiting shouldn't there be more talent there for us to look at? It seems like other schools are bringing in decent talent.Last edited by egib52; 11-18-2022, 03:41 PM.

One of the games he played before transferring was against Bradley in the 2018 Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off tournament (11/27/19). He played 17 minutes in that game and scored 10 points. Playing in Detroit for his senior year should help prove if Bailey is legit or an overrated fraud. I'm hearing doubts about his P5 offers being real and his star ratings have been lowered, which is why he fell to Evansville. If he has a big senior year I doubt if he'd honor his commitment to EU and go to the highest bidder. The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies... - John Walter Wayland

Malovec has not played this season, but the other 3 have played sparingly in a couple games, so there must be injury issues and they are taking a medical redshirt year.

Not sure which thread to put this in, but it's news about the Drake roster for next season.
Drake center Darnell Brodie is a 5th year senior, having spent 2 years at Seton Hall (2018-19 & 2019-20), and the last 3 at Drake (2020-21, 2021-22, & 2022-23).
But there is an unofficial report tonight that Brodie will not be participating in their Senior Night Wednesday, possibly a suggestion he plans to return next season-

But a year ago, it was reported that this current season would be his extra "Covid year"-

So if he does have another season of eligibility, it may be because he only played in 3 games in the 2019-20 season.

Valparaiso announced that senior Ben Krikke will be honored at their Senior Night on Wednesday, but they also said "Krikke is still making a determination on his future", which might mean he could decide to return for an extra season.
