Donar raced out to a 15-6 lead but Den Helder scored the final 11 points of the 1st quarter
so the score at the end of the first quarter is
    Den Helder 17 - Donar 15
Rienk Mast has 3 pts, 2 rebs

WARNING: - the sound stream is about 3-4 seconds ahead of the video stream so the sound of the whistles and the fans cheering are a bit distracting since they do not match up with what you are watching.

** Rienk not starting with the senior Donar squad..he is now in the game at 4:12 left in 1st quarter
..and he immediately nails a 3-pointer

edit Donar trails by 8 at half

Donar makes a tremendous comeback and wins Game-1 of this series 77-76!

They trailed by 10 much of the 3rd quarter then hit 4 consecutive shots late in the 3rd (2 from 3-pt) to take the lead...
Then they needed to rally again late in the 4th quarter - coming back in the final 90 seconds from down 74-68,
then closing it out with FTs.

Rienk Mast finished with 7 pts in 17 minutes on just 4 shots and added a couple rebounds

Game-2 of the series will be Saturday May 11

3rd quarter score - Donar jumps out to a 10-point lead...
58-48 - Rienk has 2 pts but adds 7 rebounds and has done a good job defending Leiden's big men,

they are 10 minutes away from taking a 2 games to none lead in this series against the #1 seed Leiden

I am thinking I am going to love watching Bradley basketball even more next year with these new guys coming in!!

I am looking forward to watching Bradley basketball next season! I am curious to hear your thoughts on how each of the new guys could impact the team. Will any of them be able to replace DLO and Luuk's contributions?

                                who me?

I have seen video of each of them and I have gone to see Jamir Price in action and all are talented enough to help right away - except Price who is probably a year away so undertsandably he's headed to prep school.

Rienk Mast is only 17 but think about this - he has already played 34 league games at the top pro level in Holland, plus he's played 18 EuroCup and Tourney games, plus he's played four more playoff games so far and could play up to 6-8 more, then he's also played dozens of U18, U20, U21 and SENIOR National Team games interspersed thru the season & last summer & fall, and is expected to play another dozen or more this summer during the FIBA U18 -
...so by the time he hits Bradley's campus, he will have played 80-90 games in the prior YEAR against seasoned pros and top amateurs and been coached by some very successful coaches... So I think he will be ready from the start to take over for Luuk and add a lot more.

Gabriel will need to adjust since I do not believe he has gotten very good coaching but he has played two years against top PREP SCHOOL competition including playing against some of the TOP TEN ranked prep schools in the nation and against the top prep players. I have compared him before to Theron Wilson - but he may have more ballhandling skills and has played point guard and well as low post. I am hopeful he can be what Cellus was for us.

Ville will help as PG and 3-pt shooter but has a freshman body and will need to work in the weight room.

Danya can give us some of what DLO and/or Luqman gave us and is more offensively minded

Antonio has a college body, is unselfish and will play some point guard right away.

Sean Houpt - hard to say - maybe some of what those guys at UNI like Marc Sonnen or Wyatt Lohaus always did to us...
..some timely 3-pt shooting and backup PG play...

The 2 guys that can replace the hustle, scoring, defense & rebounding that DLO gave us are Terry Nolan, Jr. & Kevin McAdoo - but we will have to wait a year - altho we will be able to see them in the Red-White scrimmage and any open practices that the staff may allow.
As I noted, I still have my concerns that if Kingsby's waiver is disallowed and we have an injury or two, we could be short on guard strength.
