Homer Drew never coached in the MVC (Valpo joined the MVC in 2017, Drew retired in 2011), but in his 34-year head coaching career (at Valpo 1988-2011)and at 2 non-D1 schools previous to that), he won a total of 640 games and lost 428. At Valparaiso, he won 8 Horizon League and Mid-Continent regular season championships, and 8 Horizon League & Mid-Continent tournament championships, and took Valpo to the NCAA Tournament 7 times.
