I just heard from someone who spoke with Danya and his family while they were in town and he is "very excited" to come & play for Bradley..
..but I'd still like to know more about how he is eligible immediately.
Looks be to be a good replacement for Lundy. Hopefully he can help DB get some more open shots.
If he is eligible next year, I agree that he will probably play a similar role to what Lundy did. Kingsby has point guard skills, but next year, Darrell Brown will still be the primary point guard. But we know Coach Wardle likes to play with a couple point guards on the floor at the same time, like he did this past year with Brown & Lundy, and in previous seasons as well.
disappointed that the newspaper article didn't get much of an interview with Kingsby or his family or tell more about his background and connection to our coaching staff....
....and it contained a lot of erroneous stuff - like the stats and dates and it mentioned that Stephan Gabriel is still playing at Veritas Prep when we know he left there a couple months ago.
Kingsby has been committed to Bradley for almost 3 weeks and yet we still haven't seen a single bit of coverage on his eligibility status.
We're the only ones it seems asking the question of whether he is eligible for this fall and if so - how?
We have said here from the beginning that unless he gets some kind of special waiver to be eligible immediately, that he'd have to sit out a year transferring from LSU school to Bradley. But the PJS said he would be eligible for 2019-2020 but now the PJS backtracks and says that he is currently eligible to play in 2019-2020 - He texted -- "Medical waiver being sought for Kingsby to play in '19-20."
The NCAA's transfer rules became a little less cumbersome this week, as college sports' governing body ratified an amendment that allows for a sixth year of eligibility for transfer students...
