  • In just four years!

    Just for historical reference -
President Gary Roberts was hired 10/16/2015 - https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...s-gary-roberts
Dr. Chris Reynolds was hired 3/17/2015 - https://www.pantagraph.com/sports/co...c80e049d3.html
Coach Brian Wardle was hired 3/27/2015 - https://bradleybraves.com/news/2015/3/28/209987854.aspx

So kudos to our leaders who have blown away all the disaster & fallout that was laid in their laps
we have certainly come a LONG way! and THANKS!!!

There were a few people who said IT COULDN'T BE DONE

(just for reference, on 3/16/2015, Mike Cross was fired & Dave Reynolds posted a long "interview" with him - in which Cross
literally wrote his own long "eulogy" proclaiming all his great accomplishments and how the people of Peoria and the fans of Bradley
were making a huge mistake because we were already on the path to greatness but people were just too stupid to see it and too impatient.

Here were a few of his words - REMEMBER - Cross had already been here about 5 1/2 years:

"I walk out with a significant sense of accomplishment ... There are numerous things we’ve done to change the culture of the department.
(then he has a hard time even listing anything whatsoever - naming just the mascot we spent $100,000 in consulting and the adidas deal that went bad)
...From a process and decision-making standpoint, I don’t have any regrets. ... Bradley can be great. But I hope there’s enough patience
for that to happen.’ Unfortunately, there isn’t enough patience
    ." )

What a trajectory since that first game / first season.

And thank you Tornado - both you and Da Coach are an archive of Bradley history. I did not know that Cross was fired
on March 16 and the very next day Reynolds was hired. Very very interesting.

Joanne Glasser & Mike Cross cost Bradley 1/2 their fan base

this article was written / started - May 2017 about the state of Bradley and Bradley Basketball that fateful Spring of 2015. No other Division 1 school has ever lost so much much. In addition to a School President, Athletic Director, Head Coach, but also loss "fan base", major contributors, donations, area interest, media coverage, etc. - And then these "3 diamonds" were found that Tornado shares - the rest is history and all of us witnessed this incredible climb.

Just a simple and undeniable fact.
The stupidity, ineptitude, negligence, arrogance and ignorance of Joanne Glasser and AD Michael Cross drove Bradley's donations, attendance, and fan support to the lowest it has been since the 1930's. More than half the fan base is gone, no longer following Bradley. Donations dried up to less than half what they were. The upper levels of giving and Braves Club shrunk to less than half what they were under Ken Kavanagh. And of course attendance plummeted and tanked as a direct result of Glasser's and Cross' actions. Likely no Division I Athletic program in all of history has gone through such devastation over such a short time at the willful hands of the very people who claimed they were working to improvethe Athletic Department.

And probably what's even more astounding is that a handful of fans (many of whom aren't even season ticket holders and none of whom have ever given a dime to Bradley in support) plus the clueless local media who kissed Joanne butt - literally cheered the whole destruction on and were a big part of what happened. Thankfully a few fans stood up and demanded an end to Joanne Glasser's reign or terror and Bradley is back on the right track now with the slide ending and basketball on the upswing.

Joanne Glasser hasn't been heard from since she got run out on rails...
Mike Cross on the other hand has gone on to a low level fundraiser position at Penn State, and even writes a blog telling everyone he knows how to be a successful college AD!

Ha- LOL - he was the worst AD in the HISTORY of college sports!
