Geno Ford will coach his first game as Interim Head Coach for Stony Brook (24-
at South Florida (19-13). Stony Brook is a 7½ point underdog.
West Virginia, with one of the worst records ever for a team playing in a post-season tournament at 14-20 has bought a home game and will host Grand Canyon University (20-13). WVU is a 4½ point favorite.
20-win Southern Miss (20-12) is a 10 point underdog at sub-.500 Longwood (15-17).
And DePaul (15-15) is a 6 point underdog at home against Central Michigan (23-11).
4 CIT games, including Brian Wardle's old team Wisconsin-Green Bay (17-16) playing at East Tennessee State (24-9). ETSU has won at least 24 games all 4 seasons that former Wichita State assistant coach Steve Forbes has been there as head coach, and they rarely lose at home. His name will probably be mentioned for some of the job openings this spring. ETSU is an 11 point favorite.
One non-D1 game of interest- Callum Barker and his Missouri Baptist team start play in the NAIA Tournament today. They won their conference regular season championship easily, and have been ranked inside the top 10 nationally all year. The tournament is a 32-team bracket, and the first round games are today (Wed., March 20), and tomorrow (March 21). It runs through Tuesday, March 26, and all games are played at a single site, Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, MO.
Missouri Baptist plays Loyola University of New Orleans at 8:15 pm Central time.
Callum has started 31 games, and averages 7.8 ppg and 5.0 rpg.
