The Chicago Tribune says Michigan State has a "Brutal Draw" in the NCAA Tournament. Not so much because they play Bradley, but because they also have to face #1 overall seed Duke in the Elite Eight if both get that far-
      https://www.chicagotribune.com/sport...317-story.html

If you are not able to read, here is the clip that refers to Michigan State-

Michigan State's sweep of the Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles - including an impressive comeback victory Sunday against Michigan at the United Center - wasn't enough to bump the Spartans to the top line ahead of North Carolina or Gonzaga.
The Spartans, who play No. 15 seed Bradley in the first round, might be the toughest No. 2, but they drew a brutal potential Elite Eight matchup against Duke in the East.
Michigan also earned a No. 2 seed along with Tennessee and Kentucky out of the SEC. The Volunteers, with two victories against Kentucky and one against Gonzaga, had a shot to possibly move up to the top line but were crushed by Auburn in Sunday's SEC championship game.

The 7 midmajors that got at-large bids include Houston, Temple, and UCF of the American Athletic Conference, Gonzaga (West Coast), Nevada (Mountain West), Belmont of the Ohio Valley, and VCU of the Atlantic 10.

Indiana, UNC Greensboro, Alabama and TCU were the first four out.
Belmont, Temple, Arizona State and St. John’s were the last four in and will play in Dayton for the First Four play-in games.

Kevin Harlan and Dan Bonner did the Saturday and Sunday semi-final and championship games with Bradley in the MVC Tournament. They are a superb broadcast team.

I have my seat in the Arena baby! No question this will be our toughest game this season. Sparty is really good even with having lost their best player, Joshua Langford, earlier this year and they just lost Kyle Ahrens for the rest of the season as he injured an ankle against Michigan during the BIg 10 championship game. They had 4 guys play 30 plus minutes so depth is one of the few issues they have. Matt McQuaid is a 3 point bomber so we have to always have someone on him. Sounds like a job for DLO. Cassius Winston has become their #1 scorer and he's also #3 in assists overall with a 7.5 average so DB and Luqman will need to get after him. We're also really going to have to attack the boards as Michigan State is #4 overall with a +9.0 rebound margin. We also have to cherish each offensive possession. Just can't throw any soft passes. Sounds like an impossible task. No way we'll beat them. They are going to be really motivated because they felt like they should have been a 1 seed and also not put in the same region as Duke. No one, especially the "informed media", will give us chance. Might as well not even show up in Des Moines and play right? Well one thing I know about the Bradley Braves is that they have no quit, no surrender in them. They believe. The Spartans are going to feel our presence. As long as we have that aggressive attitude on both ends of the court we have a shot. 8 #15 seeds have beaten a #2 seed so it has happened so why can't we make is 9.
I BELIEVE THAT WE CAN WIN! LET'S GO BOYS! GET ER DONE!

LET'S NOT FORGET....the absolute travesty the refs did the last time we were in Des Moines.
Hopefully the guys have a chip on their shoulders from that one - we played very well in the game - except for maybe 4 minutes of each half.

I think our fans will show up to support our BRAVES!

I believe we can win - so do the guys and Coach Wardle.
We have a gritty group that believes no lead is big enough to come back from...but let's not get down that far in the 1H.

I put in for tickets for the Bradley section for the first game ...if I don't get picked I'll go via other markets. I have my tickets for the second session game though. Note: Drake is playing a CBI game on Friday at home.

I saw one comment that Michigan State opened as a 20 point favorite - but that will surely change

I will be in DesMoines, but my family will not. Has anyone heard if there will be any kid friendly watch parties in the Peoria area?

If you guys recall, just 3 seasons ago, Michigan State was whining about getting a #2 seed instead of #1, and most of the country was thinking they were the sleeper to win it all.
Well, they looked ahead too soon, as Mid TN State (#15 seed) upset them in the 1st round. (See link below for highlights)
Middle Tennessee State takes down Michigan State 90-81. This was only the eighth time in tournament history that a 15 seed has upset a number 2 seed. Five Bl...
