The four lowest automatic qualifiers and the four lowest at-large qualifiers play in the First Four

Here are the NET rankings of the teams that have already secured bid as automatic qualifiers:
          14 Wofford
          43 Murray State
          59 Liberty
          173 Gardner-Webb
          177 Bradley
          203 Iona

so we need three more low ranked teams to win their conferences - unless people want Bradley to play in the First Four-
it wouldn't be all that bad to get an extra game within 5-6 hours driving range that would be a reasonably winnable game...
But if we get seeded for Thursday or Friday - there's little doubt we'd be a 15 or 16 seed.

That's rough that even GW was rated higher. Anyone have the numbers for the old system? Just for comparison purposes.

I don't totally understand the NET system, but looking at Liberty's schedule (http://www.liberty.edu/flames/index....36961&teamID=6) I don't understand how they are so high. They had a nice win at UCLA, but UCLA is down this year.

yes - this site has the RPI as well
Here are the RPI's of those same teams:

              21 Wofford
              39 Murray State
              83 Liberty
              133 Gardner-Webb
              162 Bradley
              200 Iona
2018-2019 Men's College Basketball Rating Percentage Index (RPI) Live - a ranking of teams based on win percentage and strength of schedule (opponents' average win percentage and their opponents' opponents' average win percentage) plus sometime bonus factors such as game location, updated in real time.

It is interesting that BU sent out a note that you can call for first round tickets after the announcement but you will be notified if you get them by 430 on on Tuesday. The first four games are Tues/Wed so not sure how that works if we are indeed in Dayton on Tues or Wed.

I would also point out that every school in the SWAC, NEC, and MEAC has a significantly lower NET ranking than Bradley. So I’M hopeful we won’t be in Dayton.

one thing for sure when it comes to the NCAA Selection Committee is that no matter how incredibly insane something might sound, they have been known to do it...
They have left out teams with a #21 RPI (Barry Hinson's Missouri State) and they have given big schools with losing records and RPI's of hi 60's at-large bids...and even made them 5 seeds
...and they've given bids to as many as ELEVEN members of the same conference - then they virtually bomb out

Now Fairleigh-Dickinson (NEC) qualifies with a worse NET
...as does North Dakota State (Summit)

Here are the new NET rankings of the teams that have already secured bid as automatic qualifiers:\(they change slightly every day)
                        13 Wofford
                        34 St. Mary's
                        44 Murray State
                        60 Liberty
                        80 Northeastern
                        113 Northern Kentucky
                        128 Colgate
                        171 Gardner-Webb
                        176 Bradley
                        202 Iona
                        203 Fairleigh-Dickinson
                        222 North Dakota State

so now we need one more low ranked team to win their conferences - and as houstonbrave points out
both the SWAC and the MEAC do not have any members that will be better than Bradley - so I think we are out of the FIRST FOUR

EDIT - THESE NUMBERS HAVE BEEN UPDATED AS OF 2PM THURSDAY

Back to talking the important stuff that I sure wish the media would occasionally cover...

NC Central at NET 305 just won their tournament

                              13 Wofford
                              34 St. Mary's
                              44 Murray State
                              60 Liberty
                              80 Northeastern
                              113 Northern Kentucky
                              128 Colgate
                              171 Gardner-Webb
                              176 Bradley
                              202 Iona
                              203 Fairleigh-Dickinson
                              222 North Dakota State
                              305 NC Central

so now there are at least four worse NET's among automatic bid winners -
and don't the play-in teams get the #1 seeds in the Regionals? So wouldn't that also mean Bradley is not going to face a #1 seed
...thus we are more likely a 15 or 14 seed?
