LOL - one of the things Wardle says is that growing up & in high school he was a fan of DePaul, and
when he was being recruited he contacted Joey Meyer (head coach of DePaul) and Joey completely snubbed him
and told him they were loaded and didn't have a place for him there at DePaul - so he went to Marquette & starred - and
kicked DePaul's butt because he played with a chip on his shoulder!
I strongly recommend everyone listen to this interview-- it's the best one yet and even Brian compliments
Holmes for the interview...
He also says "I like this new Valley - this Valley without Wichita State!"
In that interview with 670 The Score in Chicago, Coach Wardle also answers a question I have had, and I suspect some fans wondered about. Fans may have noticed the team did a chant right before the games, and they also did it at other times, such as the reception at the Renaissance Coliseum Sunday night.
One player will shout "We all we got" and the team answers "We all we need", then they repeat it several times.
Wardle said that it was started by freshman Armon Brummett and it caught on with the other players.
