All 4 games today feature 2-0 regular season records.
Game 1: Loyola was 2-0 against Valpo. The Crusaders need to make this a butt ugly game if they want to have a chance to win. Loyola has struggled to score at times this season so if this game is in the 50’s Valpo has a chance.

Game 2: Missouri State was 2-0 against BU. Which BU team shows up. The January one that throws lazy passes and has no movement on offense and doesn’t move their feet and leaves shooters wide open on defense or the February one who challenge shots and move their feet on defense and who get up and down the court and aggressively move the ball on offense. This game is on us and our attitude.

Game 3: ISU was 2-0 against Drake. ISU 2 key guys, Malik and Fayne, have played well in both games against the Bulldogs. This is the only team that Drake in either game didn’t score more than 60 points against.

Game 4: SIU was 2-0 against UNI. The Salukis are playing well and have both their inside and outside game working. UNI had won 4 straight by double digits until their stinker of a game at ISU Blue.

All 4 games should have lots of twists and turns. Looking forward to it.

Valpo still struggling from the field down 28-13 with 3:54 left. They are shooting just 6-24 while Loyola is shooting 11-18. Lucas Williamson, who recently came back from being hurt, left the game with some sort of leg issue

Valpo looks like a bad YMCA team. It probably has a bit to do with them playing last night and now playing a fresh Loyola team that hasn't played for a week. But it looks like it's because they aren't very good either. Krutwig is killing them inside and neither Sorrolla nor Smits have a clue how to defend him.

Loyola on cruise control leading 56-29 with 11:21 left in game. Porter should try and rest his starters for the rest of the game

One thing noticeable here at the Enterprise Center is there are way more media people and photographers than any MVC Tournament before. The media tables are 2-deep and run. Much longer than the length of the court. I count over 20 photographers on the court and at least 75 people at the media tables on the side opposite the benches, and a bunch more on the scorers table side. And that doesn't include guy like Dave Reynolds, Jim Benson, and other beat writers who aren't here, probably because their teams aren't playing now.
Maybe it's because of Loyola being a Final Four team, and maybe some more Chicago media than usual.

Thought Porter kept Townes and Krutwig in the game a little too long. Both came out for good with 2:30 left. Fortunate neither one had a freak injury

For the game Loyola shot 27-51. Valpo shot 21-58. Final score was 67-54 but it wasn’t that close

I agree. He took them out a couple times, but put them back in when Valpo cut the lead a little.
Final score- Loyola 67 Valparaiso 54

ISU off to a really rotten start as they trail Drake 24-9 with 7:08 to go in the half. They are shooting just 4-16, 1-8 from 3 so far while the Bulldogs are shooting 8-16, 4-5 from 3
