Some of the things he writes are a bit odd. In his discussion of Player of the Year, he tries to make the case that Armon Fletcher, who plays for the team he follows (SIU), was also a candidate for Player of the Year-
You could make a case for SIU's Armon Fletcher, in my opinion, because he had three or four 20-point games in his last six and the Salukis needed to win to escape the play-in games of the MVC tournament

Maybe a little bias? It's a good thing voters cannot vote for their own players. If anyone voted Fletcher as POY, they would have been the only one. He got no votes for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd,

He also makes a couple other errors like saying:
Drake was still picked last in the preseason poll, and came one victory away from winning the MVC outright.

Not true. Drake was picked 9th and Evansville was picked 10th.

also interesting - is that up to just a couple weeks ago - almost EVERY discussion of who might be
the MVC Player of the year - included the mention of ISU's Milik Yarbrough.
      He sure faded fast...

Yarbrough and Custer were the only two 1st team All MVC selections from 2018 that returned this season, and they were the top 2 vote-getters for Preseason POY in the MVC preseason polls. Custer had a down year, but Yarbrough actually improved his already impressive numbers in every significant category (mpg, ppg, rpg, FG%, & 3pt%). So he should have been a no-brainer for 1st team All-MVC or even POY, right?

Plus, Yarbrough averaged significantly more points per game and more rebounds per game than his teammate Phil Fayne, who was voted to the 1st team, and even got Player of the Year votes! So on paper, it doesn't make any sense why Yarbrough wasn't at least on the 1st team, or even getting POY votes.
But I think we all know the reason.
