Woo boy what a game and freaky finish. We were able to overcome Eli’s early foul trouble and our sloppy play on both ends and we just kept plugging away. The 2nd half was a different team and a different story as we had better movement on both ends. Eli came up big scoring all 12 of his points in the 2nd half, none bigger than a 3 with 4:00 which gave us a lead we wouldn’t relinquish. Once again we had a very frantic last minute of the game but this time we hung on to win. Survive and advance to play Loyola. We will need to play a lot better game than the one we did last Saturday if we want to advance to the championship game. Just play your game boys and GET ER DONE!
we need to clean up the mistakes - we fouled 3-pt shooters
we drove for quick shots when we should have held the ball and eaten the clock
missed FTs late
..those are all fixable mistakes - but we won anyway - great defense in 2nd half
Every player contributed to this win, but DB carried this team on his back for this win. We couldn’t get a favorable call from the refs and still kept our composure in the second half. Great win!
autotranslated, it says... "Brazilian Tulio da Silva should stay out of March Madness. Missouri State ended up losing to Bradley
in the first round of the Missouri Valley tournament. The Brazilian finished with only 3 points and 4 rebounds,
one of his worst games in the season."
Quite an exciting day yesterday. I hope a few more Bradley fans can make it down to St. Louis today, and really get loud.
Loyola had a huge contingent of fans at yesterday's 12:00 game, including a lot of students who got a little rowdy. A large group of them mooched seats in the lower part of Section 103 where I and a lot of others were sitting and they refused requests by several fans to sit down, thus blocking everyone's view of the game. There were a couple of the Loyola students who were rude to fans asking them to sit down, though most just wanted to stand and have fun. Complaints to the ushers did no good. But, thankfully, one of the Loyola University representatives came over and told them to leave that section and return to their seats in the student section.
St. Louis – The Bradley men's basketball team used a strong second-half performance to push past fourth-seeded Missouri State in the Missouri Valley Conference Quarterfinals on Friday, 61-58. The Braves improve to 18-14 overall and advance to the Arch Madness Semifinals for the second-straight season, while the Bears drop to 16-16 with the loss.
