  • 2019 Arch Madness

Official Arch Madness Tournament Central and schedule
    http://mvc-sports.com/sports/2018/6/...chMadness.aspx

Bradley's team hotel is the Embassy Suites in Downtown St. Louis.
Currently, they list rooms available for $279 for Friday night. That is a little steep. I expect their prices will drop the week before the tournament.

We stay at the Pear Tree and the guy that gets our rooms gets them for around $100 a night total. Has a couple of extra rooms but is cancelling them Monday I believe so if interested you can PM me. We take all 3 nights.

If anybody has any tickets for Thursday They aren’t using or would sell I might be interested. Since I’ll be down there already Thursday night I might as well watch the other teams. PM Me.

There was a lot of previous discussion / entries regarding "Hot Seats" for Valley Coaches. I'll be bold and state that Barry Hinson (Missouri State Coach) despite a lot challenges at SIU had one heck of a season finishing third in the regular season and SIU would be foolish to let Hinson go especially if SIU defeats Drake and makes it to the Arch Madness Finals. And my final bold statement for today - if the Arch Madness referees call the Arch Madness games fair for all teams despite what MVC authorities and NCAA tournament authorities would likely wish (or want) to see - then Loyola will "not" be the 2019 Arch Madness Champions. This year is anybody's ( I should say anybody else's) tournament and Loyola is the targeted team.

Should be a fun time this weekend at the Enterprise Center from the 1st game to the championship game. I hope the message that Wardle was sending to both Eli and Luuk was well received and hopefully implemented fully against Missouri State. Because if it's not it'll be a 1 and done appearance. We can't afford to be anything but aggressive on both ends if we expect to beat the Bears. Need to keep DaSilva in check and try to speed up their offense and get them out of their rhythm. On offense we need to be strong with the ball and take it to them. Gotta take care of this one to get another crack against Loyola. LET'S GO BOYS! GET ER DONE!

I’ll always take the 4-5 game over 3-6 because you get an earlier start and fresher legs for 3 games in 3 days. Love seeing the Jailbirds on that Thursday line, especially after self proclaiming themselves favorites. Maybe someone should handout Mr. Thursday flyers? Looking forward to STL!

Yes, Bradley already announced the following-
The Bradley men's basketball team is set for the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Championship and opens its bid for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament on Friday versus Missouri State.

After earning a first-round bye in the final day of the regular season, the Braves and Bears are set to battle in the second quarterfinal of the day with tipoff scheduled for 2:30 p.m. If Bradley advances, it will play its semifinal on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the championship game slated for Sunday at 1 p.m.

Before each game, fans can attend the Official Team Send-Off from the Embassy Suites St. Louis Downtown lounge with the BU band, cheerleaders and Bravettes, approximately one hour and 45 minutes before tipoff. Friday's Team Send-Off begins at 12:45 p.m.

The Braves will also host a Pre-Game Party at the Skybox Bar on the second floor of FOX Sports Midwest Live! within Ballpark Village before each Bradley contest. Festivities include free Bradley giveaways as well as appearances by the band, cheerleaders and Bravettes. The party runs from 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. on Friday.

Fans can also watch the BU contests at the official watch party for all Bradley Basketball road games at the Bullpen Sports Bar inside Landmark Recreation Center in Peoria.

A couple weeks ago, the St. Louis downtown Embassy Suites showed that they were sold out for Friday and Saturday night. Then a few days ago, they showed rooms available, but their lowest price was $279. But as I predicted, the price is coming down. They now have rooms as low as $236 per night. That is still a little pricey, but a lot of fans prefer to stay in the team hotel. The room price may still drop further if they are not filling up, but who knows.
There are other nearby hotels with lower prices.

Tickets for Session 2, which is the 2:30 pm Friday session that Bradley plays in, are still available on Ticketmaster. However, the only ones listed on Ticketmaster are end-zone seats. Secondary ticket sellers like StubHub.com and SeatGeek.com have much better seats, but at higher prices. Just search for Missouri Valley Tournament.
And another option is the street sellers. Tickets for Thursday's session (Session 1) are always available from street sellers, usually for near face value, as people who bought All-Sesion packages usually don't attend the Thursday games. Friday's tickets are always available, too on the street, since some fans of the teams that play Friday night will forego the afternoon session and sell their tickets. I have bought tickets from street sellers many times, and never had a problem.
A few years ago, Missouri legalized "ticket scalping", meaning you will not run afoul of the law by buying from street sellers, but always be sure to check you are getting the correct session and seat you are paying for. I have had sellers try to sell me tickets to the previous day's session that were worthless. And don't be afraid to barter. They always take less than their initial price, sometimes way less, depending on demand.

This will be my 29th straight year attending the MVC Tournament in St. Louis (plus a bunch more counting the campus-site tournaments that ran from 1977-1990).
Missouri State always brings a lot of fans, so let's hope for a great crowd of Bradley fans! Go Braves!

I haven't seen any promotion of the Family Fun Pack this year. We have used it in previous years to get four tickets plus goodies like popcorn and soda at greatly reduced rates. Last year Purina was a sponsor and the tickets were available at Schnuck's and Hy-Vee. Has anyone seen a discount promotion this year?

On the arch madness app, under fan zone then tickets it has a link for the 75 dollar special. Family fun pack I believe it is called. However- when you hit the link for the pdf it says file is corrupted. So im sure they have the special just not sure how to obtain the coupon.
